34、moisture penetration index of any test specimen shall not exceed 0,25 (or 25 %).6 Method of long-term test6.1 PrincipleInsulating glass unit (IGU) specimens are exposed to a climate test. The initial and final moisture content of the desiccant are determined. I values for each unit tested and Iav va

35、lue are calculated for each unit tested.6.2 Number, description and selection of test specimens15 test specimens which shall be representative of the system description (see EN 1279-1:2018, Annex A), and shall consist of two panes of 4 mm glass in accordance with EN 1279-1:2018, 5.2. If 4 mm glass i

36、s not available, the thickness as near as possible to 4 mm shall be used. The length shall be (502 2) mm and the width shall be (352 2) mm. The cavity width shall be 12 mm, or if not manufactured, the cavity width shall be as near as possible to 12 mm.Specimens of triple glazed units may also be tes

37、ted. Length, width and cavity width should fulfil the above mentioned requirements. The I-value of the individual cavities may be different. The requirement given in Clause 5 applies to both individual cavities.After production, the test specimens shall be stored for fourteen days and additionally c

38、onditioned for a minimum of three days at standard laboratory conditions.Number the specimens by random selection. 44、 centrally located test specimen shall be recorded continuously.Second step includes seven weeks (1 176 4) h exposure at c(+58 1) C and at 95 % r.h. Condensation on the test specimens from time to time is allowed.The two steps of the procedure can be carried out in a single cabinet or in two separat

45、e cabinets. If two cabinets are used, the specimens shall be moved within 96 h from one cabinet to the other.If any interruption occurs in the climate test conditions, the test duration is extended by the interruption time not exceeding a total of 96 h. If the interruption time exceeds 96 h, the tes

46、t is stopped and a re-test on new specimens is required.The temperature of the centrally located test specimen shall be controlled at least one a year with at least 90 % load and recorded.The glass temperatures of the other test specimens in the cabinet shall be:a) during step 1: high temperature: =

47、 (h 1,0) C; low temperature : = (l 2,0) C; slopes: = (s 4,0) C/h;b) during step 2: = (c 1,0) C.The distance between the vertically placed test specimens shall not be less than 15 mm.6.4 ProcedureStore the specimens for a minimum of 3 days under standard laboratory conditions.Measure the initial mois

48、ture content (Ti) of the four selected test specimens (numbers 1, 2, 3 and 4) in accordance with Clause 7.Submit the five selected test specimens (numbers 5, 6, 7, 8 and 9) to the climate conditions in accordance with 6.3.On completion of the climate test, store the specimens for a minimum of 1 week
