10、4 FOREWORD At the request of the CENELEC Technical Committee TC 20, Electric cables, a draft for an amendment to HD 21.1 S2:1990 was submitted to the CENELEC members for formal vote in May 1993. The text of the draft was approved by CENELEC as amendment A8 to IID 21.1 S2 on 8 December 1993. The foll

11、owing dates were fixed: - latest date of announcement of the amenment at national level (doa) 1994-06-01 - latest date of publication of a harmonized national standard - latest date of withdrawal of conflicting national standards (dopl 1994-12-01 (80w) 1994-12-01 For products which have complied wit

12、h ED 21.1 S2:1990 and its amendments A5:1990, A6:1991, A7:1992, A9:1993 and A12:1993 before 1994-12-01, as shown by the manufacturer or by a certification body, this previous standard may continue to apply for production until 1995-12-01. 13、 The sheath shall be extruded as an homogeneous layer. New Sub-clause 5.5.5 Colour Where the sheath is coloured, the colour shall be throughout the whole of the sheath or on its surface. Where surface colouring is applied, the surface colour shall be of essentially the same material as the underlying material and shall be applied as part of the extrusion process. The surface colour shall not be separable from the underlying material and shall be durable.
