5、CTS FOREWORD The formal decisions or agreements of the IEC on technical matters, prepared by Technical Committees on which all the National Committees having a special interest therein are represented, express, as nearly as possible, an international consensus of opinion on the subjects dealt with.

6、They have the form of recommendations for international use and they are accepted by the National Committees in that sense. In order to promote international unification, the IEC expresses the wish that all National Committees should adopt the text of the IEC recommendation for their national rules

7、in so far as national conditions will permit. Any divergence between the IEC recommendation and the corresponding national rules should, as far as possible, be clearly indicated in the latter. Introduction Les dispositifs et systmes dclairage modernes deviennent plus compliqus en raison de lintgration la source de lumire des diff- rentes parties de leur circuit. Cela peut conduire

12、une certaine confusion en ce qui concerne linterprtation des mthodes dessai. Un grand nombre de ces produits spciaux dclairage utilisent des lampes dcharge dont le bon fonctionnement exige lutilisation dun ballast. Des composants qui peuvent constituer des parties indpendantes dun systme conventionn

13、el sont prsent combins avec dautres composants et runis dans un mme logement. II est clair quun accord sur la terminologie des combinaisons lampe/ballast/starter est nces- saire en vue dassurer que ces combinaisons sont considres de manire correcte et uniforme par les laboratoires officiels et par l

15、aliss. 2. Lampes ballast intgr 2.1 Definition Une lampe ballast intgr est une unit constitue dune seule pice et destine tre utilise la place dune lampe incandescence dans un luminaire ordinaire. La source de lumire et le ballast corres- pondant sont logs dans lunit. Le dispositif damorage, si nces-

16、saire, y est aussi inclus. 2.2 Interprtation 2.2.1 Le composant constituant la source de lumire dune lampe ballast intgr nest pas remplaable. 2.2.2 Le composant jouant le rle de ballast fait partie de la lampe ballast intgr et nappartient pas au luminaire. II est limin la fin de la dure de lunit. 2.

17、2.3 Les lampes ballast intgr devront, chaque fois que cela est applicable, tre essayes selon les Publications 968 et 969 corres- pondantes de la CE1 en ce qui concerne les prescriptions de scurit et de performance. Pour le reste, les lampes ballast intgr devront tre considres, en ce qui concerne les

18、 essais, comme des lampes conventionnelles (voir paragraphes 2.3.1 et 2.3.4 ci-dessous). 19、PRETATION OF NEW LIGHTING PRODUCTS 1. Introduction Modern lighting devices and systems are becoming more complicated owing to the integration of the light source with various parts of the circuit. This can lead to confusion about the interpretation of testing methods. Many of these special lighting

20、products employ discharge lamps requiring ballasting for proper operation. Components that may have been independent parts of a conventional system are being combined with other components within the same housing. There is clearly a need for agreement on terminology and definitions for lamp/ballast/

21、starter combinations to ensure that they are regarded correctly and in a uniform manner by testhouses and regulatory authorities. An outline of categories with definitions, and some examples, is given below as a guide to interpreting present-day products. The listing of an example does not necessari

22、ly imply that it is standardized. 2. Self-ballasted lamps 2.1 Definition A self-ballasted lamp is an integral unit intended to be used as an alternative to a filament lamp in an existing common lampholder. The light source and appropriate ballast are contained in the unit. The means of starting, if

23、necessary, are also included. 2.2 Interpretation 2.2.1 The light source component of a self-ballasted lamp is not replaceable. 2.2.2 The ballast component is part of the self-ballasted lamp; it is not part of the luminaire. it is discarded at the end of the life of the unit. 2.2.3 Self-ballasted lam

24、ps should, where applicable, be tested in accordance with the relevant IEC Publications 968 and 969 for the requirements of safety and performance. Otherwise, self-ballasted lamp units should, for fest purposes, be regarded as conventional lamps (see Sub-clauses 2.3.1 and 2.3.4). Copyright Internati

Internal start lamps 3.1 Definition An internal start lamp is a unit which includes the starting device as well as the light source but which requires

33、an external ballast. 3.2 Interpretation 3.2.1 The internal starting device is not replaceable. 3.2.2 For test purposes, internal start lamp units should be regarded as conventional lamps. 3.2.3 Special test requirements may be necessary to ensure compatibility of the lamp unit and existing ballasts.

34、 3.3 Examples The following are commercial products that are in the internal start lamp category. 35、ition A semi-luminaire is a unit similar to a self-ballasted lamp but designed to utilize a replaceable light source and/or starting device. 4.2 Interpretation 4.2.1 The light source component or starting device of a semi-luminaire is read i I y replaceable . 4.2.2 The ballast component is not repla
