3、1 These practices cover laboratory apparatus and reagentsthat are required for the chemical analysis of metals, ores andrelated materials by standard methods of ASTM. Detaileddescriptions of recommended apparatus and detailed instruc-tions for the preparation of standard solutions and certainnonstan

4、dardized reagents will be found listed or specified inthe individual methods of analysis. Included here are generalrecommendations on the purity of reagents and protectivemeasures for the use of hazardous reagents.1.2 These recommendations are intended to apply to theASTM methods of chemical analysi

5、s of metals when definitereference is made to these practices, as covered in Section 4.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard.
