Scope1.1 This practice describes a procedure to determine thephysical properties and longevity of the floor covering adhe-sive and the effect on

3、it following accelerated heat aging.1.2 This practice assists in determining compatibility ofadhesive and respective floor covering for long term use.1.3 The values stated in inch-pound units are to be regardedas standard. The values given in parentheses are mathematicalconversions to SI units that

Terminology3.1 DefinitionsMany of the terms in this practice aredefined in Terminology D907.4. Significance and Use4.1 The final appearance of an installed floor depends uponseveral factors

10、. These include but are not limited to themanufacture of the flooring material, the preparation of thesubfloor and the skill of the installer. This practice is used tomeasure the ability of the adhesive to retain its originalphysical properties and adhesion following exposure to heatsimulating a lon

Sincethis practice is used to understand the changes in physicalproperties in use over periods of five to ten years or longer, itwould be impractical to pursue an actual precision and biasstudy.
