3、 is based upon a proposal by the Ship and Boat Builders National Federation. This standard has been prepared in order to meet a growing need for interchangeability of slides used in various track and slide fittings on board yachts. A wide adoption of these dimensions will also benefit both manufactu
4、rer and user in rationalizing a principal feature of design production. Two basic forms of track section have been covered, namely a flattened “C” section for internal fitting and a stub “T” for external fitting. Two sizes are given for both sections in order to meet the great majority of present ne
5、eds in yachting. A third large size has been added for the external fitting to meet a minor but significant need of the largest yachts. A British Standard does not purport to include all the necessary provisions of a contract. Users of British Standards are responsible for their correct application.

9、rules and regulations as may be applicable to the individual ship concerned. 1 Scope This BritishStandard specifies the dimension of tracks for mast and deck fittings, which are necessary to ensure the interchangeability of slides. The standard covers two basic forms of track appropriate for interna
10、l and external fitting in two and three sizes, respectively. 2 Types, dimensions and tolerances The dimensions of the finished track shall correspond to those shown in Figure 1, Figure 2, or Figure 3.
