Specification 1 Scope This British Standard specifies the characteristics of a chromium-nickel-aluminium corrosion resisting steel for aerospace applications, supplied as springs manufactured from solution heat treated rod, cold drawn into wire, formed into springs and

14、finally precipitation hardened, designation S 206. It also covers the following intermediate product forms: a) rod: solution treated, for the manufacture of wire, designation S 206A; b) wire: diameter 0,25 mm# D# 10 mm, cold drawn from solution treated rod, for the manufacture of springs, designatio

17、ts delivery and use conditions shall conform to Table 1. The wire, and the rod from which the wire is drawn, shall conform to Table 1. NOTE The format, line numbers and symbols of Table 1 are derived from, and should be interpreted in accordance with, European Standards EN 4500-1 1) and EN 4500-5 1)
