31、nt Grout (Nonshrink)1.5Submittals1.5.1 GeneralContractor shall provide to Architect/Engineer submittals required by this Specification in accor-dance with Contract Documents.1.5.2 Contractors quality controlSubmit a quality control plan showing means and methods to control the purchase, use, and pla

32、cement of epoxy grout. Provide infor-mation related to quality control in accordance with 1.7.5.1.5.3 Contractors testing agencyIf Contractor is nomi-nating a testing agency, submit data on qualifications of proposed testing agency for acceptance.1.5.4 Quality control procedures1.5.4.1 Submit the fo

33、llowing to Architect/Engineer before the start of Work:a) Experience record of supervisory personnelb) List of equipment and proceduresc) Detailed procedures for grouting.1.5.4.2 Submit the following to Architect/Engineer during construction:a) Notification to Owners Representative in time to permit

34、 in-place inspection of foundation and formwork prior to placement of groutb) Test resultsc) Record set markup of drawings1.5.4.3 Submit formwork and formwork accessories as specified in Contract Documents.1.6Delivery, storage, and handlingDeliver, store, and handle grout per manufacturers instructi

35、ons and material safety data sheets (MSDS).1.7Quality assurance and control1.7.1 GeneralGrout materials and operations may be tested and inspected by Owner as Work progresses. Failure to detect defective Work or material will not prevent rejec-tion if a defect is discovered later nor shall it obliga

37、ny Work.1.7.3 Grout testField tests of grout required in 1.7.4 and 1.7.5 shall be performed by personnel trained in testing epoxy grouts.1.7.4 Duties and responsibilities of ContractorUnless otherwise specified in Contract Documents, Contractor shall assume the following duties and responsibilities:

38、a) Qualify proposed materials.b) Allow access to project site or to source of materials and assist Owners testing agency in obtaining and handling samples at project site or at source of materials.c) Advise Owners testing agency at least 24 hours in advance of operations to allow for completion of q

39、uality tests and for assignment of personnel.d) Provide and maintain adequate facilities on project site for safe storage and initial curing of grout test specimens for the sole use of testing agency.1.7.5 Quality controlQuality control shall be performed to ensure that:a) Specified epoxy grout is b

40、eing used and has not exceeded its shelf lifeb) Foundation and baseplate have been properly preparedc) Formwork is fit for purposesd) Required tests are performed at specified frequencye) Correct placing methods are usedf) Curing temperature is maintained for required timeg) Shims, wedges, or leveli

41、ng devices are removed, if specified to be removed elsewhere in Contract Documents, after material has reached full cureh) Temperature of baseplate, grouting materials, founda-tion, and environment are within specified parametersi) Moisture condition of grout aggregate and foundations are within spe

42、cified parameters.1.8Acceptance of work1.8.1 GeneralCompleted grout shall conform to appli-cable requirements of this specification and Contract Documents.1.8.1.1 Grout that fails to meet one or more requirements of Contract Documents but subsequently is repaired to bring the grout into compliance w

43、ill be accepted.1.8.1.2 Grout that fails to meet one or more requirements of Contract Documents and cannot be brought into compli-ance is subject to rejection.1.8.1.3 Repair rejected grout by removing and replacing or by additional construction to strengthen or otherwise satisfy project requirement

44、as directed by Architect/Engineer. To bring rejected Work into compliance, use repair methods that meet applicable requirements for function, durability, dimensional tolerances, and appearance as determined by Architect/Engineer.1.8.1.4 Submit proposed repair methods, materials, and modifications ne

45、eded to repair the grout to meet the require-ments of Contract Documents.1.8.1.5 Contractor shall be responsible to bring grout into compliance with requirements of Contract Documents.1.8.2 Dimensional tolerances1.8.2.1 Unless otherwise specified, construction toler-ances shall conform to ACI 117.1.

46、8.2.2 Formed surfaces resulting in grout with dimen-sions smaller than permitted by the tolerances of ACI 117 may be considered deficient in strength and subject to the provisions of 1.8.4.1.8.2.3 Formed surfaces resulting in grout with dimen-sions larger than permitted by ACI 117 are subject to rej

47、ec-tion. Remove excess materials when required by Architect/Engineer.1.8.2.4 Inaccurately formed grout surfaces that exceed ACI 117 tolerances are subject to rejection.1.8.3 Appearance1.8.3.1 Grout surfaces not meeting the requirements of 3.2.7 or 3.2.12 shall be brought into compliance in accor-dan

48、ce with 1.8.1.1.8.4 Strength1.8.4.1 Criteria for determining potential strength defi-ciencyStrength may be considered deficient and grout work is subject to rejection when the Work fails to comply with requirements that control the strength of the grout including, but not limited to, the conditions

49、given in (a) through (f).a) Grout strength failing to comply with specified parametersb) Reinforcement size, quantity, grade, position, or arrangement at variance with the requirements of 3.1.5 or other Contract Documentsc) Grout that differs from the required dimensions or locationd) Curing not performed in accordance with Contract Documentse) Insufficient protection of grout from extreme tempera-ture and other adverse environmental conditions during early stages of hardening and strength developmentf) Mechanical injur
