I 1 450 MPa, copper, copper alloys and nickel alloys, the temperature in service of which does not exceed 235 OC. Th

13、against corrosion or to reduce the effects of the galvanic coupling when assembling different materials, e.g. steel, aluminium or magnesium. 4 Limitations of process use The contact of cadmium-plated parts with titanium, titanium alloys, fuels and fuel lines : - is to be avoided at temperatures 1 10

15、tion. 6 Thickness Unless otherwise specified in the product standard or definition document, the thicknesses are : - Class A : 10 pm to 20 pm ; - Class B : 5 pm to 14 pm ; - Class C : 5 pm to 10 pm ; NOTE : These thicknesses are those of the cadmium coating alone ; the nickel strike thicknesses are

18、atments shall be completed. Unless otherwise specified, the stress relief heat treatment conditions for parts in steel shall conform to table 1. Table 1 A slight coloration by superficial oxidation is permitted. When shot peening is specified, it shall be performed after the stress relief operations

It shall be carried out after de-embrittlement, in accordance with IS0 4520, type B (yellow), class 2C. 12 Removal of the plating The so
22、lution used shall not attack the base metal. EXAMPLE : Immersion of parts in a solution of ammonium nitrate (e.g. 100 g/l to 300 g/l at ambient temperature for approx. 10 min). After removal of the plating, parts shall be de-embrittled in accordance with table 2. 13 Required characteristics 13.1 App
23、earance The surface shall be satin, uniform and, free from : - rough, burnt or powdery areas ; - pits ; - exfoliations ; - blisters. 25、ified, these tests are applicable to steels with a tensile strength of Rm 2 1 100 MPa. - No rupture within 200 h (for EN 2832) - final ductility 2 94 % of the initial ductility (for EN 2831). or 13.6 Corrosion resistance After exposure to salt spray : - for chrornated cadmium-plated parts, white cad
26、mium salts shall not appear within 96 h and corrosion of the substrate not within 336 h ; - for non-chromated cadmium-plated parts, corrosion shall not appear within 240 h. 14 Test methods 14.1 For process approval 14.1.1 Appearance Visual inspection 14. I .2 Adhesion See EN 2828 or IS0 2819 (cross-
27、cut test) 14.1.3 Thickness See IS0 1463, IS0 2082, IS0 21 77 and IS0 21 78 The choice of the method shall be subject to an agreement between the processor and the purchaser. In case of dispute, the method defined in IS0 1463 is the reference method. 14.1.4 Composition of the plating The method of an
28、alysis shall be agreed between the processor and the purchaser. 14.1.5 Hydrogen embrittlement See EN 2832 and EN 2831 The choice of the method shall be subject to an agreement between the processor and the purchaser. Upon agreement from the purchaser, the tensile strength of the specimens may differ
29、 from the parts to be treated and from Rm 2 1 450 MPa. Other methods may be used subject to the purchasers agreement. 31、 For acceptance of parts 14.2.1 Appearance See 14.1.1. 14.2.2 Adhesion See 14.1.2. 14.2.3 Thickness Steel : see IS0 2178 Copper, copper alloys and nickel alloys : as agreed between the processor and the purchaser. 14.2.4 Other tests Tests other than those specified in 14.1 may be carried out after a
32、greement between the processor and the purchaser. 15 Quality assurance 15.1 Approval of the processor See EN 2000. 15.2 Process approval The processor shall carry out : - the plating on pre-production parts and/or test pieces determined by agreement between the processor and the purchaser ; - the te
33、sts specified in this standard, unless otherwise agreed between the processor and the purchaser. When the test results have been recognized as satisfactory by the purchaser, he shall give his written approval to start production. The process schedule shall not be changed without previous agreement f
34、rom the purchaser. 15.3 Acceptance During production, the tests may be carried out on parts and/or test pieces coated under the same conditions as the parts. The visual inspection (see 14.2.1) shall be performed on the whole batch, unless otherwise specified. Unless otherwise specified, the adhesion
35、 tests (see 14.2.2) shall be carried out at a rate of one part or one test piece per batch. 36、otherwise specified, the thickness (see 14.2.3) shall be measured by sampling in accordance with IS0 2859-1 : - code letter of the sample size, table 1, special inspection level S3 ; - simple sampling plan for tightened inspection ; - acceptable quality level (AQL) 1,5. The frequency and nature of t
37、he other tests (see 14.2.4) shall be determined by agreement between the purchaser and the processor. 15.4 Reprocessing Reworking of parts not meeting the requirements is not permitted. Upon agreement from the purchaser, the parts not meeting the requirfments may be reprocessed (see 10 and 12). 16 H

41、 General The methods are given for guidance and are not restrictive ; any other method giving at least equivalent results may be applied. The choice of the method shall be subject to agreement between the processor and the purchaser and the process schedule (see annex A) shall indicate this method.
42、B.2 Degreasing B.2.1 They shall be used when hot or cold in liquid or vapour state. Method A : Organic solvents B.2.2 Alkaline solutions a) Method B1 : Degreasing in strong alkaline solutions The composition may be as follows : - caustic soda : 15 g/l - sodium metasilicate pentahydrate : 40 g/l b) M
43、ethod B2 : Degreasing in mild alkaline solutions The composition may be as follows : - sodium metasilicate pentahydrate : 25 g/l - sodium carbonate : 25 g/l The addition of a wetting agent is possible. These solutions shall be used for immersion or anodically. B.2.3 Abrasive cleaning Method D1 : Cle
44、aning by dry coarse sand blasting, (usually grain 250 pm to 500 pm). Method O2 : Cleaning by fine abrasive blasting (grain 50 pm to 160 pm) Method D3 : Scouring This method is applied with wet pumice, alumina or any other non-metallic abrasive. Method D4 : Tumbling The abrasive used depends on the t
45、ype of material ; only parts of the same nature may be processed at the same time. B.3 Acid pickling B.3.1 Method FI : Sulphuric acid - Aqueous solution containing 90 g/l to 350 g/l sulphuric acid with or without inhibitors or wetting agents : temperature 60 OC to 85 OC. Inhibitors containing antimo

B.4 Anodic electrolytic etching B.4.1 Method HI The aqueous solution nominally contains 530 g/l of sulphuric acid used at a current density of more than 10 A/dm2, (4 V to 8 V) and preferably 20 A/dm2, at a temperature of approx. 25 OC. A temperature of approx. 70 OC may be used to remove oxides. B.4.2 Method H2 The aqueous solution nominally contains 750 g/l of sulphuric acid used at
