8、se of the standardized tooling for insertion and extraction of electrical contacts. 10、 the technical specification. 3.2 Unless indicated in the technical specification, the following details shall be specified : - type of cable, - tool or tools for insertion of contacts, - tool or tools for extraction of contacts, - forces to be applied on the tool for phases 1 and 2, - value of the
11、contact retention force. 4 Method 4.1 Number of contacts to be tested per size of contact . For each phase five contact cavities shall be tested. The contact cavity which has been used for the tests in one phase shall not undergo another test. 1) In preparation at the date of publication of the pres

14、l be applied to it. This load being maintained, an alternating rotation shall be carried out as shown in figure 1 ; the tool shall then be extracted with the contact. The contact shall be reintroduced. This operation shall be carried out four times on each of five contacts. Phase 2 - Rotation of the
15、 insertion tool The contact shall first of all be withdrawn and then re-inserted into its cavity using the insertion tool, on which an axial load as defined in the technical specification shall be applied. With this load maintained, an alternating rotation shall be carried out as indicated in the fi
16、gure 1. The tool shall then be extracted and then the contact shall be withdrawn. This operation shall be carried out four times on each of the five contacts. Figure 1 If a tool is damaged during the test, it shall be replaced. 4.3 Final measurements (if applicable) - EN 2591-A1 - Visual examination. - EN 2591-D9 - Contact retention in insert.
