、271 9: 2001 3 Defini tionc For the purpose of this standard the definitions in IS0 8402 and following apply. 3.1 Production batch A production batch is the number of sheets produced from one batch of raw material in one machine under the same conditions in continuous production. 3.2 Qualification te
、sting A test or a series of tests to demonstrate that the product sample submitted for qualification satisfies the requirements specified in the standard. 3.3 Acceptance testing Testing to demonstrate that the quality characteristics of a product are in conformity with the quality characteristics of
、 the qualified type. 4 Requ i remen ts 4.1 Materials - ultra violet stabilised high optical quality including cockpit transparency constructions and exterior glazings e.g. cabin windows, external light covers; - polycarbonate sheet material which is self extinguishing and has low smoke emission, for
、 general use within the interior of the aircraft and which may be filled, unfilled or reinforced; - polycarbonate sheet material utilising particulate, short strand and continuous fibre reinforcement, for use in external and internal structural applications. The material requirements are specified i
、n the relevant EN material standards. The material from which the semi-finished product is produced shall consist basically of a thermoplastic polyester of carbonic acid and dihydroxy-compounds to IS0 7391 -I. 4.2 Dimensions In accordance with EN 3779. 4.3 Quality The semi-finished product shall be
、of a uniform quality. In certain standards the use of clean recycled traceable polycarbonate material is permissible to the level (percentage) given in the particular material standard. 4.4 Surface structure or texture The surface structure and the texture shall be agreed between the customer and th
、e supplier. 4.5 Colour Sheets may be supplied either colourless or coloured. The colour shall be agreed between the customer and the supplier.
