8、d of verifying the vibration performance of circuit breakers. It shall be used together with EN 3841-100. 2 Normative references This European Standard incorporates by dated or undated reference provisions from other publications. 11、akers shall be mounted on the vibrator according to 4.2 and 4.3 of EN 3841-100. The means of mounting shall be designed so as to transmit vibrations over the whole frequency range without absorption or natural resonance. The electrical connection shall be made with the cables of the sections specifi
12、ed in EN 3841-100, Table 1. The connection cables shall be attached to the vibration support approximately 100 mm from the terminals. The circuit breakers and the cables shall be mounted with the torque indicated in the product standard. 3.2 Procedure The circuit breakers shall be subjected to: - th
13、e sinusoidal vibration test according to IS0 7137, test procedure 2.2; - the random vibration test according to IS0 7137, test procedure 2.2; - the test at low frequencies and sustained engine imbalance; - the gunfire vibration test according to MIL-STD-810F, method 519.3, if specified. The test sha
14、ll be carried out in three mounting positions along the main axis of the circuit breakers, in the closed and open position The test conditions and vibration values shall conform to the technical specification. During the test the contacts do not close for a period 2 10 ps (circuit breakers in the op

17、esonant frequencies and a period to be determined as follows: - resonance: if applicable, 30 min per resonance; - sweep: remainder of total time specified. The test period at sustained engine imbalance shall carried out in 2 steps: Step 1: With the equipment operating, sweep cycle the vibration freq
18、uency over the appropriate frequency range from the lowest to the highest (up-sweep) to the lowest (down-sweep) with a logarithmic sweep rate according to technical specification. During the initial up-sweeps, record plots of the accelerometers at the response locations selected and identify the cri
19、tical frequencies. Critical frequencies are defined at those frequencies where: - mechanical vibration resonances have peak acceleration amplitudes greater than twice the input acceleration amplitude, or - a change in performance or behaviour is noticeable whether or not performance standards are ex
20、ceeded. If any, select the most severe frequency. For the critical frequency identified (if one), dwell at this frequency for 170 minutes minimum. During the resonance dwell, the applied frequency shall be adjusted, if necessary, to maintain the maximum acceleration response at the vibration resonan
21、ce being dwelled. Any change in the critical frequency that occurs during the test shall be noted. If no critical frequency is identified, then no dwells need to be performed. Continue sweep cycling the vibration frequency over the appropriate frequency range with a logarithmic sweep rate according
22、to technical specification for the 170 minutes minimum. Note that the time spent performing the initial up-sweeps may be included in the total sweep time (1 70 minutes). Step 2: With the equipment operating, perform one sinusoidal linear frequency sweep from the highest to the lowest at a sweep rate
23、 according to technical specification. 3.3 Requirement Requirements in accordance with technical specification and product standard.
