14、1994 Tolerances OC 3.20 Inspection and test report See EN 2078. 3.21 “Capability clause“ Reference to “capability clause“ signifies that sufficient evidence of a statistical nature with respect to the properties under consideration can be submitted to show that the requirements of the relevant stand
15、ard will be met on the basis of a reduced amount of testing. Such action in no way reduces the obligations of the manufacturer to fulfil all requirements. If subsequent testing indicates that a product does not comply with the requirements, the batch shall be rejected. 4 Quality assurance 4.1 See EN
16、 2000. Approval of the quality system of manufacturers 4.2 Product qualification See material standard. 5 Manufacture 5.1 standard and the applicable part of this standard (EN 4235-2 to EN 4235-5). The product shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of the relevant material 5.2 A m
17、anufacturing schedule shall be established and applied in accordance with EN 2078. 5.3 The product shall be supplied in the delivery condition specified in the material standard. If there is more than one delivery condition in the material standard, the condition of supply shall be specified on the
18、order. If a specific temperature (value and tolerance) is stated in the material standard or on the order, that temperature shall be mandatory. If a range is stated, a temperature within that range reduced by the furnace tolerances shall be selected.Unless otherwise specified, the charge shall be ,m
19、aintained at the temperature subject to the tolerances in table 1 for the period stated. 21、e and delivery. 7 Freedom from defects All products shall be free from irregularities not complying with the requirements of the material standard or the order, or prejudicial to the subsequent manufacture or use of the product. Notwithstanding previous acceptance complying with this standard, any p
22、roduct that is found, at a later stage, to contain such defects may be rejected. 8 Testing The tests required by the material standard or the order shall be performed in accordance with the requirements of the appropriate test standard. If a test standard does not exist, the method shall be agreed u
23、pon between the manufacturer and the purchaser. The frequency of testing shall be as specified in EN 4235-2 to EN 4235-5, unless otherwise specified on the order. Where necessary the location and the direction of the test samples shall be specified on the order. 8.1 Chemical composition The chemical
24、 composition shall comply with the requirements of the relevant material standard. The elements which are not specified in the material standard shall not be intentionally added to the steel except for treating the melt before casting. The specified ranges of chemical composition are based on cast a
25、nalysis, any subsequent analytical checks on the product shall take into consideration the heterogenity normal to the steel. Such variations shall be agreed upon between the manufacturer and the purchaser. The chemical composition of each cast shall be determined. Samples for analytical purposes sha
26、ll be representative of the cast. Additionally for remelted products the samples shall be representative for the remelting ingot, taking into account the macro-segregations. The method of analysis shall be at the option of the manufacturers discretion but, in cases of dispute, the method set out in
27、the relevant IS0 standard shall be used. If no IS0 standard exists, an analytical method shall be used that can be calibrated to an accepted reference standard. 8.2 Preparation of the test samples and test pieces Test samples shall not be worked after removal from the product they represent. Test sa
28、mples taken from finally heat treated poducts (use conditions) shall not be further treated. Test samples representing products in a condition other than the condition of use shall be heat treated in accordance with the material standard before testing. Test samples and associated test pieces shall
29、be marked in such a manner that their identity, location and orientation with respect to the product and the batch is maintained. In such cases, the nature of test, method, frequency and acceptance criteria shall be specified on the order. 8.4 Retests
31、If any requirement is not met, retests shall be carried out under the following conditions. 8.4.1 If the test procedure or the test piece preparation is faulty, testing shall be re-applied at the original frequency after identification of the cause of failure. When failure cannot be attributed to a
32、faulty test procedure or to test piece preparation, additional identical test samples shall be selected at twice the original frequency. Tensile, impact, creep and creep rupture tests At least one of the samples shall be taken from the product or products with which the original result was obtained
33、(unless already rejected by the manufacturer after suitable identification of the cause of the failure). If all results are satisfactory, the batch shall be accepted. If one or more results are unsatisfactory, the batch shall be, either : - rejected, or - partially or fully reheat treated and tested
34、 as a completely new batch except for chemical composition and inclusion content. 8.4.2 If any test fails to meet the requirement, either : Hardness, bend, flattening and drift test - the remaining products in the batch shall be tested and those which fail be reheat treated and retested as a new bat
35、ch except for chemical composition and inclusion content, or - the entire batch shall be reheat treated and retested as a new batch except for chemical composition and inclusion content. For hardness tests the products with an incorrect value shall be submitted to any alternative procedure agreed up
36、on between the manufacturer and the purchaser. 8.4.3 Metallographic examination If the examination or the test sample preparation is faulty, after identification of the cause of failure, examination shall be re-applied at the original frequency on a test sample located near the first sample. When fa
37、ilure cannot be attribued to a faulty examination or to the tests sample preparation, the batch shall be either : - rejected, or - partially or fully reheat treated if the structure may be corrected by heat treatment, and tested as a new batch except for chemical composition. If the material fails t
38、he cleanness requirements, the product may be cut back before retesting. 39、589 0062770 042 m Page 9 prEN 4235-1 : 1994 8.4.4 Other tests For other tests specific to a product, the retest procedure shall be as defined in the relevant part of this standard or on the order. 8.5 Reheat treatment No product or test sample shall be re-hardened or re-solution heat treated more th
40、an once without the agreement of the purchaser. 8.6 Material verification Each product shall be checked at final inspection to ensure that it has been manufactured from the specified material. The method used shall be at the discretion of the manufacturer. 9 Making See : - - - EN 4235-4 for tube; -
41、EN 4235-5 for wire. EN 4235-2 for plate, sheet and strip; EN 4235-3 for bar and section; The method used shall not cause corrosion, crack initiation, contamination or deformation. The frequency of examination adopted by the manufacturer shall be sufficient to permit him to certify compliance with th
42、e requirements. 1 O Acceptance If required, the manufacturer shall inform the purchaser or his chosen agent of the scheduled dates for the extraction of samples and acceptance testing, in order that these operations may be witnessed. I I Inspection and test report The manufacturer shall furnish, wit
43、h each delivery, a report conforming to the requirements of EN 2078 stating the following : - manufacturers name and address; - order number; - material standard number; - delivery condition of products; - description of supplies; - quantity; - cast and batch number; - - inspectors stamp; - batch an
44、d / or test sample heat treatment, if appropriate; results of the mandatory tests, retests and chemical analysis. The exterior of the pack
46、ing shall bear the following information : - name and address of recipient; - mass; - order number and sufficient information to enable the contents to be related to the relevant documentation. 13 Wording of orders The order shall clearly indicate : quantities to be supplied; dates of delivery; mate
47、rial standard number; delivery condition of products; dimensions and tolerances of products; forwarding address; manufacturing and inspection schedule references; nature and type packing, if required; definition and frequency of any special tests and their retest procedures, if required.
