13、ument, the terms and definitions given in EN 3475-100 apply. 4 Materials and construction of cables 4.1 General The composition, dimensions and mass of the cable shall conform to the characteristics below, as well as the values specified in the product standards. 4.2 Conductor 4.2.1 Material See pro

The screen stran
16、ds or strips shall be free of kinks or cracks and their surface shall have no corrosion at all or any other impurities. 4.4.2 Construction Construction shall be in accordance with the product standard. Splices of the individual strands or strips may be effected by brazing, soldering or folding in. T
17、he number of splices shall not exceed 1 per 3 m length of cable. 4.4.3 Screen coverage The screen is constructed in such a way that the screen meets the electrical requirements defined in the product standards. 4.5 Outer jacket See product standards. 4.6 Colours of components and jacket See product

36、eNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-prEN 4604-001:20088 7 Quality assurance 7.1 Qualification 7.1.1 General requirements See EN 9133. 7.1.2 Qualification conditions The cables shall be submitted for qualification tests on drums, spools or in coils in sufficient leng
37、ths, wound evenly and uniformly. Each drum, spool or coil shall have a label containing information given in 9.1. 7.1.3 Qualification tests See Table 1. 7.2 Acceptance test 7.2.1 Required conditions 7.2.1.1 General See Table 1. The acceptance tests shall be carried out on cables delivered against an
38、 order to check that the cable characteristics are maintained. 7.2.1.2 Tests to be carried out on all cables The cables which fail any of the tests specified in 7.2.2 shall be rejected. 7.2.1.3 Random sampling tests: retest If any of the specimens fails one of the tests specified in 7.2.3, that test
39、 shall be repeated on another set of specimens selected at random from the same batch. If one of these new specimens fails the test, the batch submitted for acceptance shall be rejected. 7.2.2 Production routine tests The tests shall be carried out on all cables delivered. See Table 1. 7.2.3 Tests p
40、rior to delivery They shall be carried out by sampling on each delivery batch. See Table 1. 41、t by sampling at least every three years. Unless otherwise indicated the “X” means applicable at the same condition specified for qualification. See Table 1. 8 Identification, marking and colour 8.1 Identification See product standards. 8.2 Marking It is applied to the outer sheath or on a tape bene
42、ath a transparent outer jacket. See TR 6058, clause “Marking since March 1998” but without specific and AWG-cable size code. 8.3 Colour The colour of the marking is in accordance with ISO 2574 if not otherwise defined in the product standard. 9 Packaging, labelling and delivery length 9.1 Packaging
43、and labelling Cables supplied on drum, spools or in coils shall be wound evenly and uniformly. All cable ends shall be easily accessible and protected where necessary. Each drum, spool or coil shall have a label indicating: manufacturers name and designation; cable designation according to the EN pr
44、oduct standard; batch number; date of manufacture (month, year); inspectors mark; total length and length of each piece of cable in metres from inside to outside. 9.2 Delivery length Delivery length see product standards.
