2、MIL-A-9962 for all federal agencies. 1. SCOPE. This commercial item description covers non-woven, non-metallic mats made of nylon fiber. The commercially available mats shall be suitable for cleaning, scouring, finishing, or preparing metal surfaces. 2. CLASSIFICATION: The abrasive mats shall confor

3、m to the following types, classes, and grade. Type I- Aluminum oxide (minimum of 94 % AL/ 0/3 and a hardness of 9.4 Mohs) Type II- Natural silicon dioxide (hardness of 6.8 to 7.0 Mohs) Type III-(minimum of 97% Sic and a hardness of 9.6 Mohs) Class 1 - Sheets Class 2 - Rolls Class 3 - Disks Grade AAA

Listed below are the most common sizes of sheets, rolls, and disks. However other sizes may be obtained if required. 3.4 Weicrht, The weight of the abrasive mats expr

10、essed in grains/square inch shall be as specified in the following table. 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS 4.1 The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with papagraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 5. QUALITY ASSU

11、RANCE REQUIREMENTS 5.1. Contractor Cert if icatio n: The contractor shall certify and maintain substantiating evidence that the product offered meets the salient characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, and that the product conforms to the producers own drawings, specifications, standard

12、s, and quality assurance practices, and is the same product offered for sale in the commercial marketplace. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provision of the contract. 2 Provided b
