SCOPE. This commercial item description covers one type of EOD robot f or detec

2、ting, handling and exploding of surface demolition. 2. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 2.1 Remote Transport System . Must provide a remotely controlled, mobile, all - terrain platform capable of deliverin g a suite of current EOD special series tools and attachments. 2. 2 Operation . Must be operable by no

3、 more than two EOD task - qualified personnel of any skill level. 2.3 S y stem c o ntrol . Must provide operator full control of all system functions at distances up to 100 meters and when inside other structures. 2.4 Imaging capability . Must have an imaging capability that enables the operator to

4、perform reconnaissance and identify devices as far as 10 meters from the platform and use on - board lighting to ensure visibility in all lighting conditions. 2.5 Mobility . Must be a ir deployable and all require d equipment fit within a 17.25 cubic feet space in Internal Sling able Unit ( ISU ) mo

5、bility containers. 2.6 Weight . Total weight must not exceed 375 pounds. 2.7 Electrical firing of explosive devices . 7、re and weather conditions . Able to operate in all temperature and weather conditions. Temperatures from 15 to 130 degree F. 2.9 Remote control . M ust provide a primary and backup remote control capability. Must employ battery - powered platform, batteries should be rechargeable and provide full op

8、eration for a period of 1 hour between charges. Must be modular and self - contained, two - man portable, and have capability to use external 120 VAC, 60Hz electricity. Battery chargers for vehicle and command control unit shall be included. 2.10 Firing ca pa bility . Must fire one ser ies EOD speci

9、al tool and five 12 - guage shotgun blasts on the same approach w ithout human entry. 2.11 Manual s . Must include complete and accurate operations and repair manual. 2.12 Repair tool kit . Must include repair tool kit that contains all unique tools necessary for repairs of the remote transport syst

10、em. 2.13 Vehicl e . All terrain capability with manipulator arm and gripper shall include crossing 24 inch high grass and/or weeds, loose sand 6 inches deep, mud, gravel/rocks up to 4 inches in diameter, and be able to negotiate the following from a head on position; tr averse railroad tracks, 18 in

11、ch wide ditches, 12 inch high obstacles (i.e. logs, curbs), climb and descend a flight of stairs with minimum 7 inch risers and 8 inch treads, negotiate (at a minimum) a 35 degree up or down slope, negotiate (at a minimum) a 15 degree side slope. 2.14 Width . Must be able to negotiate aircraft aisle

12、s no more than 18 inches wide. 2.15 T urning radius . Must be able to perform 180 degree turn in an aisle no more than 40 inches wide 2.16 Speed . Must have a variable speed with a minimum range of 1 to 12 inches per second. 2.17 Audio . Must have at least a 1 - way audio capability. 2.18 Batter y .

13、 Must have rechargeable batter y (s) with capability of 1 hour minimum of full operation between charges. 2.19 Color camera . Must have a minimum of 1 color pan/tilt camera with remote focus, zoom, and iris control. 2.19.1 Black/white camera . Must have a minimum of one (1) black/white camera with w

14、ide angle lens, automatic iris, positioned on the manipulator arm to allo w operator full view of the gripper when performing tasks. 2.20 Manipulator Arm . The manipulator arm m ust be able to rotate/pivot shoulder and/or elbow to allow for work 90 degrees to either side of the vehicle platform. Pro

Must have sufficient reach and lift capability to grip and move (at a minimum) a 15 pound object located up to 2 feet off either side and in front of the

16、 vehicle and 12 inches below the ground (in a hole) to 6 feet above the ground. 2.20.2 Gripper . The manipulator arm with the gripper must be able to operate various types of doorknobs, open suitcases, toolboxes, etc., place a minimum of a 15 - pound object into a bomb containment vessel 2.21 Shotgu

Must be able to aim and fire the shotgun and ot her current EOD tools either straight ahead or at 90 degrees to the side of the vehicle platform and from ground level up to 3 feet above the ground without immobilizing or damaging the manipulator arm and/or the vehicle. 2.22 EOD tools . Must be a

18、ble t o use existing EOD tools with minor modifications. 2.23 Operati onal Control Units . 2.23.1 Power supply . Must be operable from rechargeable battery(s) and from a 120 VAC power supply. 2.23.2 Audio/video conne c tors . Must have audio/video output connectors to allow recording capability. 2.2

19、3.3 Audio . Must have a t least a 1 - way audio from the vehicle capability. 2.23.4 Unit . The unit must be modular and self - contained and be 2 - man portable. 2.23.5 Chemical protective equipment . Must be operable while wearing chemical protective equipment. 3. REGULATORY REQ UIREMENTS 3.1 Recov

The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered materials to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 4. QUALITY ASSUR ANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Quality Conformance . The products provided shall meet the salient

21、 characteristics of this Commercial Item Description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same product offered for sale in the commercial market.
