This specification covers the requirements for one type of survival kit container, designated CNU-111/PY for use with USAF F-4 aircraft. 2. APPLICABLE

17、103.) 2.2.1 Order of precedence. In the event of a conflict between the text of this specification and the references cited herein, the text of this speci- f ication shall take precedence. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 First article. This specification makes provisions for first article I testing. 3.2 Compone

18、nts. The survival kit container shall consist of the basic container, hardware, and subassemblies as shown on figure 1. 3.3 -ions and standards. Specifications and standards for necessary commodities and services not specified herein shall be selected in accordance with MIL-STD-143. 3.4 Materials an

19、d processes. 3.4.1 Metals. Metals shall be of the corrosion-resistant type or suitably treated to resist corrosion due to fuels, salt spray, or atmospheric conditions likely to be met in storage or normal service. 3.4.2 Dissimilar metals. Unless suitably protected against electrolytic corrosion, dis

20、similar metals shall not be used in intimate contact with each other. Dissimilar metals are defined in MIL-STD-889. 3.4.3 Nonmagnetic materials. Nonmagnetic materials shall be used for all components except where magnetic materials of fer definite advantages. 3.4.4 Nonmetallic materials. The use of

21、nonmetallic materials shall require approval by the procuring activity for the specific application involved. 3.4.4.1 Fiber glass. If fiber glass material is used in the construction of the basic container, it shall be manufactured in accordance with the requirements of MIL-P-9400. of Table I and wo

When materials are used in the construction of the basic container which are subject to deterioration when exposed to climatic and environmental condi

25、tions likely to occur during service usage, they shall be protected against such deterioration in a manner that will in no way prevent compliance with the performance requirements of this specifi- cation. The use of any protective coating that will crack, chip, or scale with age or extreme climatic

All aluminum parts shall be anodized in accord- ance with MIL-A-8625. with a potassium dichromate seal

The components shall be made of the lightest possible materials consistent with

30、configuration, strength, and other require- ments specified herein. 3.5 Design and construction. 3.5.1 Survival kit container. The survival kit container shall incorporate the components listed on figure 1, shall meet the configuration requirements of the envelope shown on figure 2, and shall be des

The survival kit container shall be designed to allow the following operations: a. Normal egress from the aircraft afte

33、r a flight, leaving the parachute and the container in the aircraft. Disconnection of the container shall be made at the parachute accessory rings. b. Emergency egress from the aircraft on the ground or in the water, taking the parachute but leaving the container in the aircraft seat. Pulling the se
