6、 construction of the system that are subject to deterioration when exposed to climatic and environmental conditions likely to occur during service usage, they shall be protected against such deterior- ation in a manner that will in no w+y prevent compliance with the perfornance requirements of this

The use of any 3.5 DESIGN PNiD CNSFUJCIION 3.5.1 The system shall be designed as a combination vacuum system and test bench which will facilitate simplified

8、 and rapid leak testing of hermetically sealed instruments and their associated equipment. The test bench shall house the vacuum pump, manifold, the controls and indicators. The manifold shall connect the vacuum pump to two pump plates on top of the test bench as hereinafter specified to facilitate

9、evacuating bell jars on the pump plates. 3.5.1.1 The.vacuum system shall be so constructed as to pro- vide an outlet connection fron the manifold suitablefor attaching directly to the intake line of the mass spectrometer type leak detector constructed in accordance with MIL-D-48J.S. and repairs can

10、be easily made by personnel of hstrument overhaul 3.5.2 The system shall be constructed so that ajustments depots. 3.6 PWOiWNCZ.- The system shall be capable of meeting the tests specified in section 4 when subjected to the following conditions: a. 13、OTHERWISE SPEGIFJEO, TOLERANCES: FRACTIONS A (USAF) 4.2.2 SAMPLING TESTS 4.2.2.1 SAMPLING PLAN.- One system selected at random from each ten or less produced on the contract or order shall be subjected to the folloking tests as described under 4.4 TEST METHODS: - a. Individual tests b. Continuous op

REJECTION AND FWEST.- Nhen one item selected from a production run fails to meet the specification, no items sti on hand or later produced shall be accepted until the extent and cause of failure are determined. . 4.2.2.2.1 INIIIVLDUAL TESTS MAY C0hTINUE.- For operational reasons, ind

15、ividual tests may be continued pending the investigation of a sampling test failure. or later produced shall not be made until it is determined that items meet all the requirements of the specification. When tests are made with atmospheric pressure or room temperature if

18、fering materially from the above vaues, proper allowance shall be made for the difference from the specified condition . . 4.4 TES1 METHDS 4.4, E;XAhINATION OP PRDC2.- Each vacuum system shall be inspected to determine compliance with the requirements specified herein with respect to materials, work

19、manship, and marking. . 4.4.2 PUMP Doh!.- Each system shall be tested for proper operation with each size of bell ja* furnished with the system. The system shall be prepared for operation by using the size1 bell jar on top of a vacuum plate. The time required to pump down the size 1 bell jar from at

20、mospheric pressure to 1000 microns Hg shall not exceed 1,s minutes. The large size bell jars shall be evacuated In a similar manner. . 21、-26115A (USAF ) 5.2.2 LEXEL B.- Vacuum system preserved and packaged to meet 5.1.2 shall be packed in domestic type exterior containers meeting PPP-B-O , PPP-B-585, PPP-B-621, or .ML-B-10377, shall be of minimum cube and tare consistent with the protection required, As far as practical, exterior con

22、tainers shall be of uniform shape and sise and contain identical quantities. The gross weight of each pack shall be limited to approximately 500 pounds. Contkiners shall be closed and strapped in accordance with.the applicable container specification or appendix thereto. When fiber- board containers

23、 are used, the fiberboard ahall meet the special Exterior containers requirements table of UEB-631, or UirB-636, as applicable. 5.2.3 LEVEL C.- Packages which require over-packing for accept- ance by the carrier shall ba packed in exterior type shipping con- tainers in a manner that will insure safe
