All informati

19、on contained in thisStandard was documented in IEEE Std 200 (ANSI Y32.16), which was previously withdrawn.Due to the need for this Standard in the industry, it was agreed that it should be reestablishedby ASME and a new subcommittee (Subcommittee Y14.44) was formed to carry out the develop-ment ofa

20、newstandard under theASME Y14series of engineeringdrawing andrelated documen-tation practices.The following is a summary of the significant changes that were made to the previous IEEEStd 200 Standard and incorporated into this Standard:(a) Reformatted document per the requirements contained in The A

21、SME Codes and StandardsWriting Guide 2000.(b) Figure 8 (formerly, Fig. 3) was revised as follows: A7J2 and A9J2 were changed to reflecta male connector with the appropriate symbology per IEEE Std 315A. The location numbering method and loca-tion coding method have been developed to permit arapid physical

30、location of items in large, complicatedequipment featuring multiple use of many identical orclosely similar items. These methods shall be applied insuch a way that duplicate complete reference designa-tions do not occur in a piece of equipment or system.Device function designations for power switchg

31、earand industrial control use are not covered by thisStandard.1.2 ApplicationThe reference designations of this Standard are foruseonequipmentandrelateddiagrams,drawings,partslists, and in manuals or similar publications. Referencedesignationsarenotintendedtoreplaceotheridentifica-tionnumbers,suchas

32、drawing,part,type,orstocknum-bers. Additions or changes to an existing unit or setshould follow the designation system originally used.In this Standard, the unit is the highest level to whicha reference designation is assigned.1.3 References to This StandardIf this Standard is referenced in a contra

46、n of a set or system, but that is notcapable of performing a complete operational function.Typical examples are antenna group and indicatorgroup.microelectronic device: an item of inseparable parts andhybrid circuits usually produced by integrated circuittechniques. Typical examples are microcircuit

47、, inte-grated circuit package, and micromodule.reference designation: letters, numbers, or both used toidentify and locate discrete units, portions thereof, and2basic parts of a specific set. (A reference designation isnot a letter symbol, abbreviation, or functional designa-tion for an item.)basic

48、reference designation: the simplest form of a refer-ence designation consisting only of a class letter portionand a number (namely, without mention of the itemwithin which the reference-designated item is located).complete reference designation: a reference designationthat consists of a basic refere

49、nce designation and, asprefixes, all the reference designations that apply to thesubassemblies or assemblies within which the item islocated, including those of the highest level needed todesignate the item uniquely.partialreferencedesignation:areferencedesignationthatconsists of a basic reference designation and which mayinclude, as prefixes, some but not all of the referencedesignations that apply to the subassemblies or assem-blies within which the item is located.NOTE: The reference designation for a unit consists of only anumber.relay:anelectricallycontrolled(usu
