Asuperscript epsilon () indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This practice details the minimum requirements forinstallation,

3、commissioning, operations, and maintenance pro-cesses to ensure safe and reliable power generation for theexpected life of the photovoltaic system. Specifically dealingwith commercial photovoltaic installations, this practice coversa broad spectrum of designs and applications and is focused onthe pr

4、oper process to ensure quality.1.2 This practice does not cover the electrical aspects ofinstallation found in existing and national codes and does notreplace or supersede details of electrical installation covered bythe same. The practice does address the integration of bestpractices into design an

5、d construction.1.3 This practice shall not dictate specific design criteria orfavor any product or technology.1.4 This practice shall be focused on the proper, docu-mented process required to build and operate a quality PV plantas defined in Section 3.1.5 Integration of best practices shall be relev

6、ant to thisstandard and promote a mechanism for rapid evolution andreaction to changes or events. Conformity assessment for PVpower plants is being developed through the IEC System forCertification to Standards Relating to Equipment for Use inRenewable EnergyApplications (IECRE System). Sandia Labsh

7、as developed several model documents that may be adoptedas acceptable consensus standards through other standardsdevelopment organizations.1.6 The standard is divided into three key areas:1.6.1 Design, engineering, and construction of the PV plant.Systems should be designed with operation and mainte

8、nance(O monitor-ing of performance indicators, measures to track and maximizeanticipated performance, diagnostic measures, troubleshooting,and documentation.3.2.4.1 DiscussionThis includes controllable or modifi-able maintenance items that impact system yield, uptime,availability, and the ability to

9、 operate effectively under existinglocal environmental and climatological conditions, and site-related activities such as module washing and upkeep ofvegetation for both performance and safety reasons.4. Significance and Use4.1 With the rapid expansion of the commercial photovol-taic market and the

10、various standards and independent certifi-cation entities evolving, a consensus standard practice for theICOMP process is needed to bring consistency to the market.4.2 Investors and insurance companies need consistency ofproduct and standards to reduce costs of capital and underwrit-ing. Use of a co

15、ts thatare not typical for electrical equipment and generally incon-sistent with electrical contractor experience. Documented pro-cesses are needed to ensure performance and durability of thesystems over the long operating life.4.4 The goal of this practice is to implement processes toimprove safety

16、 and reliability, reduce lifecycle costs (com-monly referred to as Levelized Cost of Energy or LCOE), andencourage the development of feedback loops for continuousimprovement of results.4.5 This practice may be applied during any or all phases ofthe PV System Lifecycle (refer to Section 5). A record

17、 of theactivities carried out according to this practice shall be in-cluded in the Report (refer to Section 8).5. PV System Lifecycle5.1 The lifecycle of a PV system can be divided into thefollowing stages and areas of emphasis. These terms are usedin the following section to identify the applicable

Process Requirements6.1 DesignThe design of a PV system shall include, as aminimum, the following characteristics:6.1.1 Documented proces

20、s for ensuring quality and imple-mentation of best practices throughout the design process.6.1.2 For systems larger than 5 MW, data for systemverification and commissioning should include validated per-formance modeling including documentation of assumptionsand derating factors used. Such documentat

21、ion should bereproducible and compatible with current editions of industrystandard software.13Refer to Appendix X1 for a typicalexample of the report generated from a common softwarepackage.6.1.3 A strategy for mitigation of lost production should bedocumented.6.1.4 The design shall incorporate best

22、 practices to facilitatethe operation and maintenance of the plant over its expectedlife time.
