Ordering Information5.1 Purchasers should select from the types and styles offeeders from this specification and include the followinginformation in the procurement document:5.1.1 Title, number, and yea

Materials and Manufacture6.1 All materials shall be as follows:6.1.1 Materials used shall be free from defects that wouldadversely affect the performance or maintainability of indi-vidual components or of the overall assembly. Detergent, rinseadditive, and sanitizing agent f
19、eeders shall meet the materialdesign and construction requirements of NSF No. 29.6.1.2 Corrosion-Resistant SteelCorrosion-resistant steelshall conform to the requirements of any 300 series stainlesssteel unless otherwise specified in Specification A167.6.1.3 Corrosion-Resisting MaterialCorrosion-res
20、istingmaterial is other than corrosion-resistant steel that is equivalentin the feeder application.6.1.4 PlasticsAll plastic materials and components shallconform to NSF No. 51 and UL 94 as applicable.6.1.5 Alternate MaterialsWhenever specific materials arementioned, it is understood that the use of
21、 materials proven tobe equally satisfactory from the standpoint of performanceshall be permitted.7. Construction Requirements7.1 GeneralThe feeder shall be complete so that whenconnected to the specified source of power (electrical or water,or both), the unit can be used for its intended function.De
22、tergent, rinse additive, and sanitizing agent supplying hous-ings (hoppers, reservoirs, or containers) shall be designed tominimize splash and spillage during operation and at the timeof product replenishment.7.2 Electrical Requirements:7.2.1 Feeders shall be designed, when applicable, to utilizethe
23、 properly marked dishmachine or glasswasher terminalconnections as a power source.7.2.2 All electrical equipment shall meet the applicablerequirements for UL 73 and shall be capable of operation in anambient room temperature of 115 6 9F (46 6 5C).7.3 Water InletsAll water inlets to feeders shall be
24、pro-vided with protection against backflow by a vacuum breaker,air gap, or other approved method or in accordance withBOCA Basic Plumbing Code.7.4 Vacuum BreakersVacuum breakers shall comply withASSE 1001.7.5 Rinse/Sanitizing Agent Feeder Water SupplyType IIIand Type V Feeders shall be provided with
25、 a18-in. (3.175-mm)NPT male pipe fitting for installation in the dishmachine finalrinse line at a point 6 in. (152 mm) below the vacuum breaker.7.6 Sensing ProbeType I detergent feeders shall be pro-vided with a sensing probe and appropriate hardware forinstallation through a78-in. (22.22-mm) diamet
26、er hole in themachine wash tank wall.7.7 Corrosion-ResistanceAll metal components and as-semblies that come in direct contact with the chemical solutionbeing dispensed shall be of corrosion-resistant steel or equiva-lent. Metal parts not in direct contact with the chemicalsolution shall be of corros
27、ion-resisting material.8. Performance Requirements8.1 Performance Standards ComplianceDetergent andrinse additive feeders shall conform to the requirements of UL73.9. Quality Assurance9.1 Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchaseorder, the manufacturer is responsible for the performance
28、 ofall requirements as indicated in this specification. Except asotherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, themanufacturer may use his own or any other facility suitable forthe testing of the feeder requirements specified herein.10. Test Methods10.1 OperationalFeeders shall be tested in
29、 accordancewith manufacturers standard practice to determine compliancewith requirements of NSF 29.11. Certification11.1 Certification of compliance with the standards cited inthis specification shall be provided to the purchaser if requiredin the purchase document.11.2 UL ListingAcceptable evidence
30、 of meeting the re-quirements of UL 73 shall be UL listing mark, or UL label, ora certified test report from a recognized independent testinglaboratory, acceptable to the user.11.3 NSF ListingAcceptable evidence of meeting therequirements of NSF 29 shall be the NSF mark on the feederand listing in t
31、he NSF Official Listing of Food ServiceEquipment or a certified test report from a recognized inde-pendent testing laboratory, acceptable to the user.12. Product Marking12.1 Feeder IdentificationIdentification shall be perma-nently and legibly marked directly on the feeder or on acorrosion-resisting
32、 material securely attached to the feeder atF1021 95 (2013)2the source of manufacture. Identification shall include themanufacturers model, name, and trademark to be readilyidentifiable. Information required by NSF 29 and UL 73 shallbe included on the feeder data plate.12.2 Operating InstructionsOpe
33、rating instructions shallbe provided in accordance with the requirements of NSF 29.13. Manuals13.1 The following information shall be supplied in themanuals:13.1.1 Installation instructions,13.1.2 Operating guide,13.1.3 Maintenance and service procedures, and13.1.4 Service parts list.13.2 Manuals sh
