24、ments for Electric Motor Ordering4.1 Electric Motor Ordering Requirements :4.1.1 With each electric motor ordered for marine service,provide the following, to the greatest extent practicable:4.1.1.1 Electrical InputVoltage, phases and frequency.4.1.1.2 Speed (Synchronous or Full Load) r/min.4.1.1.3
25、PowerThe horsepower of the motor must be statedas a standard NEMA rating. At a minimum, considerationshould be given to the needed starting torque, capability toaccelerate the load to full running speed and maximumoverload.4.1.1.4 EnclosureSelect in accordance with IEEE Stan-dard 45. DP or TEFC are
26、normally specified for below deckapplications and WP for above deck applications.4.1.1.5 Duty CycleContinuous duty is normally specifiedsince it demands operation at an essentially constant load for anindefinitely long time. If intermittent or varying duty cycles arerequired, special motor selection
27、 criteria will apply.4.1.1.6 Ambient TemperatureStandard motors are de-signed for 400C ambient.
