35、ents (if different than 15.1).6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 GeneralRefrigerators, freezers, combinationrefrigerator/freezers or thaw cabinets shall conform to NSF/ANSI No. 7. Materials used shall be new and free from defectsor reclaimed and recycled conforming to the same qualitystandards for new

36、materials.6.1.1 Corrosion-Resistant SteelCorrosion-resistant steelshall conform to Specification A167 and the requirements on300 or 430 series of stainless steels as applicable.6.1.2 Non-Corrosion Resistant SteelMild steel used shallhave been treated with a coating of either zinc, chrome, nickel,pai

37、nt, or similar material to inhibit corrosion.6.1.3 AluminumAluminum alloys shall conform to therequirements of NSF/ANSI No. 7.6.1.4 Seamless Copper TubingAll refrigerant lines usedin the system shall be of seamless copper tubing conforming toSpecification B280.6.1.5 Hardware, Fittings, FastenersAll

38、materials used ashardware, fittings, and fasteners shall be of a corrosion-resistant material.6.1.6 Ozone Depleting CompoundsType one ozone de-pleting compounds shall not be used as a refrigerant or as acomponent of foam insulation and shall be the manufacturersstandard chemicals.7. Design and Const

39、ruction7.1 GeneralRefrigerators, freezers, combinationrefrigerator/freezers, or thaw cabinets shall be the manufactur-ers standard product delivered assembled, ready for mounting,and connected to electricity and used as applicable. Storagetemperatures of units shall meet the requirements specified b

40、yNSF/ANSI No. 7.7.2 Refrigeration Equipment:7.2.1 Condensing UnitEach condensing unit shall con-form to the requirements ofANSI/UL 303. Service lines for theattachment of manifold gages and accessories, shall be pro-vided on both the low and high sides of the system. Thecapacity of each condensing u

41、nit shall be adequate for theintended application.7.2.2 Condensing Unit LocationOn vertical type cabinets,the condensing unit may be located on either the top or bottomof the storage compartment. With a horizontal configuration,the condensing unit can be located either to the left or right ofthe sto

42、rage compartment unless it is remote.7.2.3 Refrigerated MeteringIf a thermal expansion valveis used, it shall adhere to the ASHRAE 15, which addressessystem working pressures.7.2.4 Evaporated Coil Assembly (Forced Air)The coilingcoil shall be finned tube construction using copper tubes. Thecoil tube

43、 sheets shall be aluminum, copper, or brass. The fanhub shall be corrosion resistant. The fan and motor shall bedirect mounted. The grill opening, shroud, and enclosingcasing shall be corrosion resistant.7.2.5 Condensate DrainAll models incorporating forcedair evaporators shall provide a thermostati

44、cally controlledvaporizer pans as means of disposing of evaporator runoff. Analternate means of condensate evaporation, which allow con-nection to plumbing, is acceptable. When condensate evapo-rators are used, they shall have a minimum capacity of 32 oz.7.3 Modular Construction:7.3.1 Panel Construc

45、tionModular units consisting ofpanel construction must fit together in such a way that, whenreassembled, the panels cannot move more than116 in. (1.6mm) in any direction.7.3.2 Fastening MethodsFor modular constructed units,in the assembly process, only those types of fastening methodscan be used whi

46、ch would allow the unit to be disassembled ata future date without the use of special tools or methods whichmight damage or disfigure the unit. No permanent fasteningmeans of the sub-components to one another, such as welding,brazing, soldering, or the use of epoxies or other adhesives isacceptable.

47、7.3.3 Access CapsThe caps used to seal the panel fasteneraccess hole, when installed shall be watertight and have flarededges. Access caps, as installed, shall conform to NSF/ANSINo. 7.7.3.4 Modular Refrigeration SystemsThe refrigerationsystem shall be furnished fully assembled, and operational. Itw

48、ill have been previously charged, tested, and all controlsproperly adjusted. The system shall have the capability, ifbeing partially disassembled and reassembled, at the time ofinstallation, without the need of an additional refrigerantcharge or control adjustments. The condensing unit shall beable

49、to be removed from the condensing unit compartment forease in moving the cabinet base section.7.3.5 Modular Refrigerant CouplingsThe refrigerationlines shall be connected by using self-sealing refrigerantcouplings. The couplings are to be specifically designed forrefrigeration applications and shall be used in sets (liquid andsuction lines). There shall be a minimum of two sets in asystem. Larger systems may require additional sets. Therefrigerant couplings are to be a type, which would allow forfuture system opening at the coupling
