The unit may or may notfeature a scrappe
17、r sink (with or without a disposer), rinse tank,sanitizing tank, or a drain table, or a combination thereof. Themachines shall consist of the following principal parts: legs,wash basin, rinse basin, sanitizing basin, clean and soiled enddrain boards, spray nozzles, pump, motor, controls, and piping.

Classification4.1 GeneralPowered pot, pan and utensil washing sinkshall be of the following types, styles, classes, size, andcapacity group, as specified:4.2 Types:4.2.1 Type I (Right-to-Left)Thi

Ordering Information5.1 Purchasers should select the preferred options permittedin this specification and include the following information inthe procurement document:5.1.1 Title, number, and date of this stand
24、ard,5.1.2 Type, and size machine required, including width ofeach sink section and drainboards (see 4.1),5.1.3 Noise level requirements, if other than specified (see11.2),5.1.4 When a service-supply valve is required (see 7.4),5.1.5 When overflows are required (see 7.7),5.1.6 Electrical power supply

26、or productivity profiles are desired (see 12.3), and5.1.10 Manufacturers certification, when required (see Sec-tion 13).6. Materials and Design6.1 All materials shall be specified as follows:6.1.1 Materials used shall be free from defects that wouldadversely affect the performance or maintainability
27、 of indi-vidual components of the overall assembly. The powered pot,pan and utensil washing sink shall meet the material, design,and construction requirements of NSF/ANSI 2.6.1.2 Corrosion-Resistant SteelCorrosion-resistant steelshall conform to the requirements of any 300 series stainlesssteel spec
28、ified in 2.1.6.1.3 Corrosion-Resisting MaterialCorrosion-resistingmaterial is other than corrosion resistant steel that is equivalentin the powered pot, pan and utensil washing sink application.6.1.4 Nickel-Copper AlloyNickel-copper alloys shall con-form to the requirements of Specification B127.6.1
29、.5 PlasticsAll plastic materials and components usedin the powered pot, pan and utensil washing sink in contactwith water shall conform to NSF/ANSI 2 or NSF/ANSI 51.7. Construction Requirements7.1 The powered pot, pan and utensil washing sink shall becomplete so that when connected to the electric p
30、ower supply,water supply, drainage, the unit can be used for its intendedfunction. Powered pot, pan and utensil washing sinks shall berigid, quiet in operation as specified by user, free fromobjectionable vibration, and so constructed as to preventobjectionable splashing of water or overflow of wate
31、r to theoutside of the machine. Parts requiring adjustment shall bereadily accessible. Parts requiring service shall be accessible.The machine shall aid in the process of manually washingdishes by pumping a water and detergent solution across dishesin the wash sink basin. Provisions shall be made to
32、 fill the washsink basin either directly from the hot or cold faucet on the sinkor automatically through a solenoid, or both. The pump “wash”cycle shall be automatically or manually controlled. A methodshall be provided to indicate that the heating element may beenergized.7.2 Piping, Tubing, Fitting
33、s, and Valves (Installation)Connections shall be readily accessible to facilitate installationand maintenance. Piping, tubing, and valves shall be located,whenever possible, on the exterior of the machine. SeeSpecifications A29/A29M, A120, A240/A240M, A276, A554,B43, and B75.F2643 1527.3 Piping and
34、FittingsWater piping and fittings shall beof corrosion-resisting material. Fresh water supply to the sinkshall be discharged not lower than 2 in. (50.8 mm) above themaximum flood level rim, or an effective air gap or vacuumbreaker shall be installed to prevent backflow. Backflowprotection shall be i
35、n accordance with ASSE 1001. The drainand other plumbing connections shall be standard pipe ortubing connections. Drainage piping shall be corrosion-resisting material, or suitable heat-resisting plastic material.Drains may be joined into a single trunk line requiring only oneconnection or arranged
36、to permit individual connections to thewaste line.7.4 ValvesWhen specified, a separately packed servicesupply valve shall be provided for closing the supply of waterto the powered pot, pan and utensil washing sink. The drainvalve shall be permanently marked to show “open” and“closed” positions and s
37、hall be lever-operated or wheel-operated, ruggedly designed for foot or hand operation exceptwhen drain valve closure is automatic. Fresh water solenoidvalves, when provided, shall be reliable and fully automaticand suitable for 140F (60C) water. The manually operatedfaucet valves, when used, shall
38、be identified as “hot” and“cold.”7.5 Spray AssembliesAll wash nozzles and manifoldsshall be of corrosion-resisting materials (see SpecificationA582/A582M).7.6 TankThe tank shall be constructed of not less than0.055 in. (1.39 mm), corrosion-resistant steel, or othercorrosion-resisting material.7.7 Ov
39、erflowWhen specified, the powered pot, pan andutensil washing sink shall have a readily accessible overflowdrain in each basin of the sink. The overflow unit, or cover,when provided, shall be removable for cleaning.7.8 FrameFrame members shall be constructed of not lessthan 0.044 in. (1.11 mm) corro
40、sion-resistant steel, or othercorrosion resisting material, and shall be rigid and stiffened asnecessary.7.9 Legs (Feet)The machine shall be rigidly constructedand have four or more legs (feet) made of corrosion-resistantsteel, or other corrosion-resisting material. Legs shall beprovided with adjust
41、able feet, so that the height of the tablemay be varied from 33-12 to 34-34 in. (851 to 882 mm) abovethe floor.7.10 Pump and Motor Assemblies:7.10.1 AssembliesThe pump motor shall be mounted onthe tank or on a rigid steel base. Rotary seals shall be providedfor pump shafts and shall be removable for
42、 servicing.7.10.2 Pump (see Specification A436)Pump casings shallbe corrosion-resisting material and shall have a removablecover or inspection plate, or be of such a design as to permitease of accessibility for inspection and removal of foreignitems from the impeller and interior. The pump shall eit
43、her beself-draining or equipped with means for draining. The shaftshall be of corrosion-resistant steel, properly aligned andsupported. The impeller shall be corrosion-resisting materialand shall be in dynamic balance. The pump shall have at leasttwo ball or roller bearings, except that when the pum
44、p andmotor are mounted on the same shaft, at least two ball or rollerbearings shall be provided for the motor and pump. The pumpsuction intake shall be provided with a corrosion-resistantstrainer or shroud.7.11 Heating:7.11.1 Style 1Style 1 machines shall be equipped withelectric heater elements and
45、 sheaths of 300 series corrosion-resistant steel or other corrosion resisting material. They shallbe provided with temperature regulators for maintaining mini-mum 110F (43.3C) water temperature in the tank. Low waterprotection shall be provided.7.11.2 Style 2Style 2 machines are not provided with as
46、ource of heat.8. Electrical Equipment Requirements8.1 The electrical equipment shall meet the requirements ofUL 921. The powered pot, pan and utensil washing sink shalloperate on the power characteristics (current, voltage, phase,frequency) specified (see NFPA No. 70).8.2 Motors (see NEMA ICS)Motors
47、 shall comply withapplicable requirements of UL 921.8.3 Controls (see NEMA MG-1)All control equipmentshall conform to UL 921 and be capable of operation in anambient room temperature of 115 6 9F (46 6 5C).8.4 Wiring and Circuit Safety DevicesAll wiring andcircuit safety devices shall be in conforman
48、ce with UL 921.Allwiring between the powered pot, pan and utensil washing sinkcomponents shall have provisions for completion at a recog-nized junction on the machine, except disposers requiringconnections to the main electrical power supply.9. Lubrication Requirement9.1 Means for effective and adeq
49、uate lubrication shall beprovided when required. Lubricating points shall be readilyaccessible, and applicable components of the powered pot, panand utensil washing sink shall be lubricated with the properamount of lubricant prior to delivery.10. Treatment and Painting Requirements10.1 Unless otherwise specified, the powered pot, pan andutensil washing sink shall be treated and painted in accordancewith the manufacturers standard practice. All surfaces of themachine, other than corrosion resisting materials, shall beprote
