Ordering Information5.1 Orders for commercial bulk milk dispensers in accor-dance with this specification shall include the followinginstructions:5.1.1 ASTM specification number and date issued,5.1.2 Quantity of units to be furnished,5.1.3 Type,5.1.4 Class,5.1.5 Size (Capacity).5

21、.2 The following options should be reviewed, and ifdesired they should be also included in the order:5.2.1 When federal/military procurement(s) is involved,refer to the supplemental pages.5.2.2 When other than manufacturers standard,commercial, and domestic packaging is required, specifypackaging re

22、quirements.5.2.3 When special or supplemental requirements, or both,such as inspections, options, accessories, modifications,changes for correctional facilities use, additional nameplatedata, etc. are required.5.2.4 When specified, a certification to ensure that samplesrepresenting each lot have bee

23、n either tested or inspected asdirected and the requirements have been met. When specified,a copy of the certification or test results, or both, shall befurnished to the purchaser.5.2.5 When specified, a number of dispensing heads needsto be specified during the ordering of the unit.5.2.6 When speci

24、fied, the unit has a means to display orindicate cabinet temperature and able to set temperature.6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 GeneralCommercial bulk milk dispensers shall con-form to the applicable documents listed in Section 2. Materialsused shall be free of defects that would affect the perform

25、anceor maintainability of individual components or of the overallassembly. Materials not specified herein shall be of the samequality used for the intended purpose in commercial practice.The use of used or rebuilt products is not allowed under thisspecification unless otherwise specified.6.2 Hardwar

26、e and FittingsUnless otherwise specified, allhardware and fittings shall be corrosion-resistant to Specifica-tions A240/A240M or A176 or suitably processed to resistcorrosion in accordance with the manufacturers standardpractice.6.3 Threaded PartsAll threaded parts shall conform toANSI B1.1.7. 27、cal Properties7.1 Design and ManufacturerThe commercial bulk milkdispenser shall consist of a refrigerated cabinet, area physicallysupporting the refrigerated cabinet, area below refrigeratedcabinet for dispensing milk into a container, and provision tolimit the condensate drippings on the counter t

The com-mercial bulk milk dispenser may include product monitoringsystem, product probe, and bulk milk container holders toaccommodate various types of containers if specified.7.1.1 Cooling SystemThe cabinet cooling system shouldbe contained in the unit so no accidental contact can be madewith m

29、oving parts.7.1.2 Controls:7.1.2.1 A temperature control must be provided for thecabinet.7.1.2.2 If specified, control functions such as data/information transfer ports (RS232), product-monitoringcapabilities, and water-resistant construction may be provided.7.1.3 AccessoriesIf specified, accessorie

30、s such as built-intrim and locks shall be provided.7.2 Standards and ComplianceThe commercial bulk milkdispenser shall conform to the requirements of ANSI/UL 471and NSF/ANSI 20. Acceptable evidence of meeting thoserequirements shall be current listing mark, label, or symbol ofrecognized independent

31、testing laboratory and a current listingin the testing laboratorys appropriate publication.7.2.1 Certification of compliance with the standards cited inthis specification shall be provided, if required, in the purchasedocument.8. Sampling and Quality Assurance8.1 When specified in the contact or pur

32、chase order,sampling, testing, and quality assurance of finished units shallbe performed in accordance with the requirements specified inANSI/UL 471 and NSF/ANSI 20.9. Product Marking9.1 Each commercial bulk milk dispenser shall be providedwith an identification plate or plates.F2891 15210. Packagin

33、g and Package Marking10.1 Each commercial bulk milk dispenser shall be pack-aged and packed in accordance with the manufacturers stan-dard commercial domestic packaging. The package shall bemarked showing the name of the product, model number, serialnumber, and manufacturers name. When specified, pa

34、ckagingshall be in accordance with the requirements of PracticeD3951.11. Instruction Materials and Manuals11.1 Each commercial bulk milk dispenser shall be finishedwith an instruction manual and material, as may be required.Manuals shall comply with Specification F760.12. 36、.1 A manual complying with Specification F760 andSupplement shall be provided.S2. First Article InspectionS2.1 When required, the first article inspection shall beperformed on one unit. The first article may be either a firstproduction or a standard production item from the supplierscurrent inventor

37、y, provided the item meets the requirements ofthe specification and is representative of the design,construction, and manufacturing technique applicable to theremaining items to be furnished under the contract.S3. Label PlatesS3.1 Bulk milk dispensers shall be provided with data-nameplates and instr

38、uction plates.S3.1.1 Data-Name PlatesIn addition to the manufacturerdata plate, bulk milk dispensers shall be provided with data-name plates readily visible to the operator during normaloperating use and so as to not adversely affect the life andutility of the unit. Plates shall be attached to the f

39、ront of theunit in such a manner as to meet the applicable NationalSanitation Foundation sanitary requirements for this equip-ment. The plate shall contain the following information, whichshall be stamped, engraved or applied by photosensitivemeans:S3.1.1.1 National Stock NumberS3.1.1.2 Government A

40、pproved Manual NumberS3.1.2 Instruction Plate An instruction plate shall bemade of an ANSI/UL accepted label material and shall beattached to the front of the bulk milk dispenser. The instructionplate shall bear instructions for start-up, operation, and shut-down.S4. Part Identifying NumberS4.1 The

41、following part identifying numbering procedure isfor government purposes and does not constitute a requirementfor the contractor. These classes are the same as those inSection 4. Preservation, Packaging and Package MarkingS5.1 When other than normal commercial practice or con-formance to Practice D3951 is desired, the preservation,packag

43、ing and package marking requirements shall be stated inthe purchase order or contract.S6. Human Factors CriteriaS6.1 Human factors engineering criteria principles andpractices, as defined in Practice F1166, shall be used in thedesign of all bulk milk dispenser.S7. Manufacturers CertificationS7.1 If

44、the manufacturer has successfully furnished thesame equipment on a previous contact within the past threeyears, further inspection will not be required. The manufacturershall certify in writing that the equipment to be furnished is thesame as that previously furnished and approved and that nomajor d

45、esign changes have been made to the equipment.S8. Naval Shipboard RequirementsS8.1 Power CompatibilityUnless otherwise specified, alltypes of bulk milk dispensers shall operate on nominal 115Volt, single phase, 60 Hertz, 3-wire alternating current asspecified in MIL-STD-1399/300.S8.2 AccessBulk milk

46、 dispensers for naval surface vesselsshall be capable of passing through a 26 in. (660 mm) wide by66-in. (1676-mm) shipboard hatch without major disassembly.Dispensers for submarines shall pass through a 25-in. (635-mm) diameter circular hatch. Major disassembly of a bulk milkdispenser intended for

47、submarine use is permissible.F2891 153S8.2.1 Service AccessWhen establishing accessibilityrequirements, both physical and visual access must be providedalong with access for any tools, test equipment or replacementparts needed. All serviceable components shall be accessiblefrom the front of the unit

48、.S8.3 MountingIf provided by the manufacturer, bulk milkdispensers shall be equipped with minimum 4 in. (102 mm)high stainless steel legs capable of mounting to a dresser. Whenlegs are not provided as part of the unit, bulk milk dispensersshall be provided with holes for mounting. The frame shall be

49、provided with four symmetrically spaced, drilled or threadedbosses or retaining nuts for this purpose. Mounting bolt sizeshall be38 in. (9.5 mm) minimum for dresser mounting. Bulkmilk dispensers shall be provided with four type 300 seriesstainless steel round legs, each a minimum 1 in. (25.4 mm) indiameter, 4 in. (102 mm) in length, for securing dispenser todresser.S8.4 Environmental SuitabilityBulk milk dispensers shallbe capable of withstanding s
