IntroductionThe American Welding Society (AWS) Board of Directorshas adopted a policy

46、 whereby all official interpretations ofAWS standards are handled in a formal manner. Under this policy, all interpretations are made by the committeethat is responsible for the standard. Official communica-tion concerning an interpretation is directed through the AWS staff member who works with tha
