The colors in Table 1 are recommended from the Pantone Color Formula Gui

9、de. The exact shades or hues are not specified. All color numbers are followed by a “C” denoting swatches for coated printing stock. The color examples shown in Table 1 may vary in appearance depending upon video display calibration, printer, paper quality, etc. For exact color references, users sho

10、uld consult a recently published Pantone color guide. For speaker connections, in addition to the color codes described in Table 2, the positiv

12、e terminal for each terminal connection on both the speaker and the electronic device shall be red, and the negative terminal for each speaker connection on both the speaker and the electronic device shall be black. To minimize consumer confusion, when color-coding is applied to both speaker and lin

13、e-level connections on the same electronic device, RCA-type jacks should not be used for speaker connections. Alternatives include, but are not limited to, 5-way binding posts, spring loaded bare wire connectors, pole terminals and banana connectors. See Section 7 for implementation recommendations.

The general speaker locations shown in Figure 1 are the same for each configuration (5.1, 6.1, 7.1 and 12.2 channel) with the appropriate speakers removed for the 5.1, 6

17、.1 and 7.1 systems, and the left back speaker moved to the center back position for the 6.1 system. 21、er connections identified in this standard. Color-coding need not be applied to the shield or insulation over the length of cable. Color-coding may be used to identify connector ends by the appropriately colored heatshrink tubing and/or by use of a color ring where necessary. Electronic component ma

22、nufacturers are encouraged to incorporate a color-coding marker or indicator consistent with this standard, such as stick-on color labels, screened color indicators or colored plastic inserts for the input/output jacks themselves. Additionally, concise labeling at the appropriate input and output te

23、rminals or connection points on component back panels is recommended. User manuals should indicate the use of color-coding and reinforce the scheme.
