9、 then dry the specimens completely by exposing them to room ambient conditions for 20 to 24 hours, or by drying them in a circulating air oven at 48.9 & 2.8 OC for 2 to 3 hours. 5.6 Final Inspection. After drying, repeat the visual and physical examination of each specimen (as performed in 5.1) in a

10、ccordance with FOTP-13, checking especially for (a) deterioration of moisture seals, (b) evidence of foreign deposits on connector interfaces. Record observations. Perform calculations as specified by any required optical test (FOTP-20, FOTP-34, FOTP-107, etc.). 6.2 Precision. The altitude-immersion test method

12、has been in use for many years, but no statement for precision has been made and no activity is planned to develop such a statement. Precision of optical measurements is as given by the specified measurement FOTP. 6.3 Bias. A statement of bias is not possible due to a lack of a standard reference ma

13、terial. 7. DOCUMENTATION 7.1 Report the following information for each test: 7.1.1 Date of test. 7.1.2 Identification (name and number) of procedure used. 7.1.3 Specimen identification. Include fixture, if applicable. 7.1.4 Values and observations: 7.1.4.1 Chamber pressure, temperature, and duration

14、 of each cycle, 7.1.4.2 Optical test data, before and after altitude immersion. 7.1.4.3 Results of visual examination. 7.2 United States military applications require that the following information also be reported for each test. For other (non-military) applications, this information need not be re

15、ported but shall be available for review upon request. 7.2.1 Test equipment used and date of latest calibration. P 7.2.2. Test personnel.
