Introduction1.1 ScopeThis standard specifies a set of codes and formats to be used by devicesc

9、onnected via the IEEE 488.1 bus. Thisstandard also defines communication protocols necessary to effect application independent device-dependent messageexchanges and further defines common commands and characteristics useful in instrument systemapplications.This standard is intended to apply directly

10、 to small-scale to medium-scale instrument systems. It applies to systemscomprised mainly of measurement, stimulus, and interconnect deviceswith an instrumentation controller. Thestandard may also apply to certain devicesoutside the scope of the instrument systemenvironment.As well as defining a variety of device-dependent messages, this standard extends and further interprets certaininterface functions contained in IEEE Std 488.1-1987 41while remaining compatib
