2、 30, 2011American National Standards Institute, Inc.AbstractThis standard specifies the functional requirements for the Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) physical interconnect, which is compatible with the Serial ATA physical interconnect. The SAS Protocol Layer (SPL) standard documents the SAS protocol la

3、yer corresponding to the Serial Attached SCSI - 2.1 (SAS-2.1) and beyond. Prior to this standard, the protocol layer was included with the physical layer. This standard is intended to be used in conjunction with SCSI and ATA command set standards.Approval of an American National Standard requires re

4、view by ANSI that therequirements for due process, consensus, and other criteria for approval havebeen met by the standards developer.Consensus is established when, in the judgement of the ANSI Board ofStandards Review, substantial agreement has been reached by directly andmaterially affected intere

5、sts. Substantial agreement means much more thana simple majority, but not necessarily unanimity. Consensus requires that allviews and objections be considered, and that a concerted effort be madetowards their resolution.The use of American National Standards is completely voluntary; theirexistence d
