2、American National Standards Institute, Inc.AbstractThis standard specifies the functional requirements for the Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) physical interconnect, which is compatible with the Serial ATA physical interconnect. The SAS Protocol Layer - 3 (SPL-3) standard documents the SAS protocol layer

3、 corresponding to the Serial Attached SCSI - 3 (SAS-3). Prior to this standard, the protocol layer was included with the physical layer. This standard is intended to be used in conjunction with SCSI and ATA command set standards.Approval of an American National Standard requires review by ANSI that

4、therequirements for due process, consensus, and other criteria for approval havebeen met by the standards developer.Consensus is established when, in the judgement of the ANSI Board ofStandards Review, substantial agreement has been reached by directly andmaterially affected interests. Substantial a

5、greement means much more thana simple majority, but not necessarily unanimity. Consensus requires that allviews and objections be considered, and that a concerted effort be madetowards their resolution.The use of American National Standards is completely voluntary; theirexistence does not in any res
