、be given a pressure test. The valve shall be tested in the 90% to fully closed position at a gauge pressure not less than 1.5 times the manufacturers 38o C (100o F) rating, rounded off to the next higher 1 bar (14.5 psi) increment. The test shall be made with water or another suitable liquid that ha

、s a viscosity (at temperatures less than 52o C or 125o F) that is equal to or less than the viscosity of water. Air or other non-hazardous gases may be used if proper safety measures are taken and pr ovision is made to detect leakage. Visually detectable leakage through the flexible element wall is

、not acceptable. Test duration shall be at least 30 seconds. If the valve ordered is not to ASME B31.1 or B31.3, then the 1.5 multiplier may be reduced to 1.0. ANSI/ISA-75.10.01-2013 - 10 - This is not a shell test and no shell test is required by this standard. Exception: Valves that are ANSI rated

、by the manufacturer shall be hydrostatically shell -tested per the applicable ANSI standard. 5.2 Seat leakage test When specified by the purchaser, each valve shall be subjected to a seat leakage test in accordance with ANSI/FCI 70-2 with the flexible member in its closed position. The test shall be

、 made for the leakage class specified. 5.3 Capacity test The valve may be flow capacity tested, at the manufacturers option, in accordance with ANSI/ISA-75.02.01 with the following exceptions and additions. a) Due to the flexibility of the clamp or pinch element, tests to determine the valve-flow co

、efficient, Cv, must be conducted at five or more pressure levels covering the useful range of inlet pressures to which the valve may be subjected in service. b) In order not to violate the minimum upstream test pressure limitations of Table 2 of ANSI/ISA-75.02.01, pressure differentials of less than

、 0.34 bar (5 psi) are permissible. When such are necessary, pressure differential increments shall be at least 0.07 bar (1 psi). Any deviation from the standard procedures of ANSI/ISA-75.02.01 shall be noted. Plot the results of these tests as Cv versus pressure differential for the different inlet

、pressures. c) The liquid pressure recovery factor, FL, shall be determined at as many pressure levels as practical, at least one being required. d) The temperature of the water used for test (see 3.1 of ANSI/ISA-75.02.01) shall be noted if the valve element is temperature sensitive. e) The accuracy

、of the test shall be within a tolerance of 6% for valve sizes 1 inch 6 inches, and 10% for valve sizes 8 inches 26 inches. Note that if Cv/d2 30, which is often the case for pinch valves as they approach their fully-open position, the normal 5% accuracy specified by ANSI/ISA-75.02.01 may not be met.

、 If so, that shall be stated along with the actual expected accuracy, if known. 6 Marking 6.1 Assembly marking The following information shall be cast into, or permanently affixed to the outside of, the valve body or yoke. a) Manufacturers name or trademark b) Model or type number - manufacturers id

、entification for valve series c) Mating flange rating designation - Class 125, 150, 250, 300 d) Size designation - nominal valve size e) Required or preferred flow direction (if applicable) f) The information in 6.2 b) and 6.2 c) shall be shown on the nameplate g) Minimum air pressure required shall

、 be stated. - 11 - ANSI/ISA-75.10.01-2013 6.2 Plate marking The following information shall be embossed, molded, stamped, or electro-chemically etched on the flexible element, an information plate, or a resistant label that is fastened to the assembly. If a flexible element is shipped separately, an

、 appropriate plate or label shall be attached. a) Material - a letter code will be used to designate the flexible element material that contacts the process fluid. This code may be branded on the element where practical. See Table 1 for code. b) Temperature - the maximum and minimum rated temperatur
