Such a statement is called a Protocol Implementation Conformance Statement (PICS). 2 Scope This Part provides the PICS proforma for the MNLP as specified in Part 501 in compliance with the relevant requirements, and in accordance with the relevant guidance given in ISO-9646.This PICS pro

32、forma applies to both the Mobile Home Function and Mobile Serving Function. 3 Supplier ActionThe supplier of a protocol implementation claiming to conform to Part 501 of the CDPD System Specification, is required to complete this PICS proforma provided and is required to provide the information nece

46、unters and Parameters group.6 Instructions for Completing the PICS Proforma6.1 General StructureThis PICS proforma consists of several parts.The first part, the Implementation Identification and Protocol Summary, is to be completed as indicated with the information necessary to properly identify ful

47、ly both the supplier and the implementation. It is imperative that the information provided be correct.The main part of the PICS proforma is a fixed-format questionnaire. Answers to the questionnaire are to be provided in the right-most column, either by simply marking an answer to indicate a restri

48、cted choice (such as Yes or No), or by entering a value or a set or range of values.All PICS related tables include the following fields:Item: Reference to be used for the protocol feature under considerationFeature/Capability:Brief description of the feature under considerationReference: Points to

49、the relevant clause(s) of the base standard concerning the feature under consideration. Section references are those indicated in Part 501.Status: The conformance requirement for the feature under consideration as stated in the base standard. The status is either Mandatory, Optional, Prohibited, Not Applicable or Conditional.Support: Indicates whether a certain Protocol Capability is supported or not.
