This document has been submitted to APCO/NASTD/FED by the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA), as provided for in a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) dated December 1993. That MOU provides that A

24、PCO/NASTD/FED will devise a Common System Standard for digital public safety communications (the Standard), and that TIA shall provide technical assistance in the development of documentation for the Standard. This document has been developed with inputs from the Trunking and Conventional Control Su

25、bcommittee (TR-8.10), and TIA Industry members. The TIA-102.AABC standard describes control channel messages for trunked systems meeting the Project 25 requirements. These definitions are necessary to insure interoperability of trunked radio units. This addendum will become part of the standard TIA-

26、102.AABC. This document is a standard. It presents an overview of trunking messages which was recommended by TIA to APCO/NASTD/FED as being suitable for use as part of their standard for a digital public safety radio system (Project 25). TIA expects that APCO/NASTD/FED shall establish and publish on

27、e or more standards for trunking operation. This addendum defines proposed enhancements to the Emergency

29、Alarm Request message as described in the Scope below. Addendum Scope This addendum enhances trunking control channel messages as follows: (1) Addition of “Special Information” fields to the EMRG_ALRM_REQ message to convey additional information regarding emergency alarm requests. This document will

30、 only include information relevant to the above-listed functionality. The reader is referred to ANSI/TIA-102.AABC-D for all other pertinent information. The next complete revision of ANSI/TIA-102.AABC will incorporate the changes contained in this addendum. Note that section numbers identified in th

31、is addendum directly translate to section numbers in the ANSI/TIA-102.AABC-D, Trunking Control Channel Messages document. 33、 4 3 2 1 0 Figure 6.1.6-1 Emergency Alarm Request The Opcode field (octet 0, bits 5-0) indicates this is the Emergency Alarm from an identified subscriber unit. This is set to the value of %100111. Special Information 1 (SI-1) and Special Information 2 (SI-2) fields may be used to convey status rega

34、rding emergency alarm requests. The default $00 indicates the emergency alarm request has been generated by pressing of the emergency button or switch. Non-zero values indicate the emergency alarm request has been generated by conditions raised by the SU or its accessories. The default case conforms

35、 to the operation of any SU that does not support non-zero Code values for the EMRG_ALRM_REQ. SI-1 contains flags to indicate “common” codes to aid in interoperability, and availability of Additional Information in SI-2.
