23、3 54 55 56 57 58 59 60 515-1 Password Call Acceptance (PCA) 1 Password Call Acceptance (PCA) Password Call Acceptance (PCA) is a call screening feature that allows a subscriber to limit incoming calls to only those calling parties who are able to provide a valid PCA Password (i.e., a series of digit
24、s). Calls from parties who cannot provide a valid PCA Password shall be given call refusal treatment while PCA is active. PCA provides a method for screening incoming calls while providing access to the subscriber from a calling party using any terminal or phone.1When a call is placed to a PCA subsc
25、riber with PCA active, the call is routed to an announcement requesting the calling party to enter the PCA subscribers PCA Password. The call shall be allowed to terminate to the subscriber only if the calling party enters the correct PCA Password. If an invalid PCA Password is entered, the system m
26、ay choose to resolicit the PCA password or give the call refusal treatment. Calls so refused may, optionally, be logged. A subscriber may select a diversion number termination address when the subscriber registers the PCA. PCA does not impact a subscribers ability to originate calls. Applicability t
27、o Telecommunications Services PCA is applicable to voice telecommunication services. 1.1 Normal Procedures with Successful Outcome Authorization PCA may be generally available or may be provided after prearrangement with the service provider. 1Enhanced capabilities, such as (a) the use of multiple p
28、asswords, (b) the automatic activation and de-activation of PCA based on time-of-day or day-of-week schedules, are left as service provider options. The PCA Password is registered upon authorization. Activation Demand. The subscriber is authorized to co
31、ntrol the activation and de-activation of PCA. Permanent. PCA is activated while authorized. De-Authorization PCA may be withdrawn at the subscribers request or for administrative reasons. Registration PCA Diversion Number Registration The PCA diversion number shall be registered upon authorization
32、for Fixed Diversion Registration subscribers. The PCA diversion number may be registered by the service provider upon authorization for Variable Diversion Registration subscribers. To register the diversion forward-to number for refused calls, a Variable Diversion Registration authorized subscriber
33、enters the PCA diversion registration feature code and a diversion number termination address or voice message system Modifier Digit 8 (“V” on the keypad), as in: *FC + termination address + SEND , or *FC + 8 + SEND (Voice message system). If the registration is accepted, the system shall indicate s
34、uccess with feature confirmation treatment. Diversion number registration associates the subscriber with the termination address as a diversion number or with a particular voice mailbox on a voice message system. Voice mailbox passwords are registered separately with the voice message system. The sy
35、stem should not accept diversion numbers to the operator (0- or 0+), service codes (N11), police, fire or similar agencies, or a revertive call. PCA Diversion Number De-Registration To de-register the diversion forward-to number for diverting refused calls, a Variable Diversion Registration authorized subscriber enters the PCA variable diversion de-registration feature
39、 code, as in: *FC0 SEND . If the de-registration is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. PCA Individual Password De-Registration To de-register a PCA Password, a Variable Password Registration authorized subscriber enters the PCA Password de-registration f
40、eature code and a PCA Password, as in: *FC0 + PCA Password + SEND . If the de-registration is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. PCA Bulk Password De-Registration To de-register all PCA Passwords assigned to a subscriber, the subscriber may enter a de-ac
41、tivate all passwords feature code, as in: *FC0 + 99 + SEND . If the de-registration is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. PCA may also be activated wh
43、en a Demand Activation Authorized subscriber enters the PCA activation feature code and a PCA Password is registered, as in: *FC + SEND . If the activation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. De-Activation PCA shall be de-activated upon de-authorizatio
44、n or de-registration of all PCA Passwords. PCA shall be de-activated when the Demand Activation authorized subscriber enters the PCA de-activation feature code, as in: *FC0 + SEND . If the de-activation is accepted, the system shall indicate success with feature confirmation treatment. Invocation Wh
45、en PCA is active, PCA is invoked for incoming calls. Normal Operation with Successful Outcome When PCA is invoked on an incoming call, the calling party is prompted to enter the PCA subscribers PCA Password, as in: prompt to enter PCA Password password (+ #). The end of the PCA Password may be deter
46、mined by the number of expected digits, interdigit timing, or with the pound “#” digit. If the correct PCA Password is entered, the call is allowed to proceed. If an invalid PCA Password is entered, the call is given call refusal treatment. Incoming calls refused by PCA screening shall be treated in
47、dependent of the subscribers status (“idle” or “busy”). If a PCA diversion number is registered, the call shall be diverted to the specified forward-to number or to the associated voice mail box as indicated. Otherwise the refused call shall be given the default system refusal treatment. TIA-664.515

49、 PCA registration activities and events. b. PCA de-registration activities and events. c. PCA activation activities and events. d. PCA de-activation activities and events. e. Calls refused or accepted by PCA. See DMH for the specific information to be included for each element. 1.2 Exception Procedures or Unsuccessful Outcome Registration If the subscriber is not authorized for the request, or if an invalid PCA Password is entered, or if the diversion number is not acceptable, the system shall apply feature denial treatment when registration is attempted.
