It is the third edition of CSA C22.2 No. 107.314 and the fth edition of UL 1778. This edition of CSA C22.2 No. 107.314 superse

35、des the previous edition published in 2005 and 2003. This edition of UL 1778 supersedes the previous editions published in 2005, 2003, 1994, and 1989. This harmonized Standard was prepared by CSA Group and Underwriters Laboratories Inc. (UL). The efforts and support of the National Electrical Manufa

36、cturers Association (NEMA) and Electro-Federation Canada (EFC) are gratefully acknowledged. The Standard is intended to be used in conjunction with the applicable requirements of CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60950-1-07 and UL 60950-1, second edition, which is referred to in this Standard as the Reference Docum

37、ent (RD). Compliance will be determined by the requirements located in CAN/CSA-C22.2 No. 60950-1-07 and UL 60950-1, second edition, with deviations presented in the third edition of CSA C22.2 No. 107.3 and the fth edition of UL 1778. The requirements in this document have been developed from existin

38、g UL and CSA Group requirements for UPS together with IEC 62040-1 (ed. 1.0). This standard is considered suitable for use for conformity assessment within the stated scope of the standard. This Standard was reviewed by the CSA Subcommittee on Uninterruptible Power Systems, under the jurisdiction of

39、the CSA Technical Committee on Industrial Products and the CSA Strategic Steering Committee on Requirements for Electrical Safety, and has been formally approved by the CSA Technical Committee. NOTE: Although the intended primary application of this Standard is stated in its scope, it is important to note that it remains the responsibil

41、ity of the users of the standard to judge its suitability for their particular purpose. Level of Harmonization This Standard is published as an equivalent standard for CSA Group and UL. An equivalent standard is a standard that is substantially the same in technical content, except as follows: Techn

42、ical national differences are allowed for codes and governmental regulations as well as those recognized as being in accordance with NAFTA Article 905, for example, because of fundamental climatic, geographical, technological, or infrastructural factors, scientic justication, or the level of protect

Interpretations The interpretation by the standards development organization (SDO) of an identical or equivalent standard is based on the literal text to determine compliance with the standard in

47、by this Standard This Standard applies to UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SYSTEMS (UPS). The primary function of the UPS for this Standard is to ensure continuity of an alternating power source. The UNINTERRUPTIBLE POWER SYSTEM may also serve to improve the quality of the power source by keeping it within spe

48、cied characteristics. This Standard is applicable to movable, stationary, xed, and built-in UPS for distribution systems up to 600 V a.c. This equipment is designed to be installed in accordance with the Canadian Electrical Code, Part I, CSA C22.1, or the National Electrical Code, ANSI/NFPA 70, and,

49、 unless otherwise identied, the Standard for the Protection of Electronic Computer Data-Processing Equipment, ANSI/NFPA 75.
