3、rercial item description covers an impact resistant, eye protection system consisting of a case containing one black plastic frame with two detachable polycarbonate one-piece lenses (one clear and one gray), each with a soft detachable nasal piece and two sets of detachable tenples (one cable style

4、and one spatula style). The spectacles cane in two sizes and are for wear by military personnel to protect their eyes fran light, glare, and airborne projectiles. 1. The ballistic resistance of the spectacles with each lens shall be such that they will pass a Vo test using a 0.15 caliber, 5.8 Grain, T37 Fragmnt Simulating Projectile (FSP) at a velocity of 640 to 660 feet per second when tested in ac

12、cordance with the requirements of MIL-SID-662, Ballistic Test Acceptance Method for Personal Armor Material. The spectacles shall be mounted on a male headform in the as-wom position.
