This item descriptio

2、n covers a hand-operated, single-acting, reciprocating, bilge Pump - Salient characteristics. General. The pumps shall conform to all Federal laws and regulations applicable for this type equipment which are in effect on date of award of contract. Materials. The pump shall be fabricated from compati

3、ble materials, inherently corrosion resistant or treated to provide protection against the various forms of corrosion and deterioration that may be encountered in any of the applicable operation and storage environments to which the pump may be exposed. Dissimilar metals shall not be used in intimat

4、e contact with each other unless protected against galvanic corrosion. Desiqn and Derformance. The pump shall consist of a cylinder, a strainer foot with integral valve, a piston with rod and handle, a cylinder cap with integral discharge spout. The piston cup, strainer foot, and cylinder cap shall

5、be synthetic rubber. The cylinder shall be heavy seamless copper alloy tubing. provide a pressure tight sealing device. synthetic rubber cup, reinforced with a copper alloy plate, and affixed to a tapped and threaded copper alloy piston rod. removable from the piston rod end without stretching. The

6、handle shall be D-shape, rigid plastic or copper alloy, and shall be tapped and threaded to accomodate the threads on the upper end of the piston rod. inner dimensions shall be not less than 2 inches by 5 inches. strainer foot with integral valve shall be molded from synthetic rubber and shall be gr

10、bber hose. A 1 inch inside diameter synthetic rubber hose 60 inches in length shall be furnished with each pump. The pump shall be capable of pumping at lease one US gallon of water in eight cycles. The maximum dimensions of the pump shall be as shown on figure 1. The valve shall be labeled with a d

11、ouble-ended arrow indicating open and closed positions. The pump inlet and outlet shall be clearly labeled for identification. The pump, complete with discharge hose, shall not exceed five pounds.
