The V-belts shall be endless loops having a trapezoidal cross section, measured in inches and millimeters (m
4、m). 2.2 Material. Material shall be as specified herein. The use of recovered material made in compliance with regulatory requirements is acceptable providing that all requirements of this CID are met (see 5.7). 2.2.1 Cord. Cords shall be natural or synthetic fibers twisted into a cord - and treated
5、 for low growth and adhesion to the supporting polymer. 2.2.2 Fabric. Fabric shall be woven or knit natural or synthetic fibers impregnated with rubber. 2.2.3 Rubber. Rubber shall be either natural or a synthetic polymer compound. 2.3 Construction. The belts shall consist of tension members (inserts
6、) and a compression member. The members shall be tightly bonded with rubber, forming an integral unit. A cover may be used (see 2.3.3). Beneficial comments, recommendations, additions, deletions clarifications, etc. and any other data which may improve this document should be sent by letter to: U.S.
