SCOPE. This CID covers requirements for exterior mounted military truck rear view mirror assemblie
4、s, known hereafter as “assembly”. 2. CLASSIFICATION. Assemblies shall be of the following types: Type I - Single plane mirror. Type II - Combination mirror (plane and convex). 3. SALIENT CHARACTERISTICS. 3.1 Design, materials, and manufacturing processes. Unless otherwise specified (see 7.3), the de

9、configuration. 3.1.1 Design interface. The assembly shall fully interface with the A-A-52432 (mirror assembly). The assembly shall conform to the envelope, interface, and mounting dimensions as shown in figures 1 and 2. 3.2 Corrosion resistance. The assembly shall show no evidence of corrosion when

The final topcoat color of the assembly shall match green 383, #34094 of FED-STD-595 unless otherwise specified, and shall resist t
11、he absorption of liquid chemical agents (see 7.3 and 7.4). 3.3 Hazardous material. The assembly shall not produce any hazards to personnel or the environment resulting from the use of asbestos or cadmium. 3.4 Identification and marking. Identification and marking of the assembly shall be permanent a
12、nd legible and shall include, as a minimum, the manufacturers CAGE code and the part identification number (PIN) (see 7.1 and 7.3). 4. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS. The offeror/contractor is encouraged to use recovered material to the maximum extent practicable, in accordance with paragraph 23.403 of the
13、 Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR). 5. PRODUCT CONFORMANCE. 5.1 Product conformance. The products provided shall meet the salient characteristics of this commercial item description, conform to the producers own drawings, specifications, standards, and quality assurance practices, and be the same
14、 product offered for sale in the commercial market. The government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance. 6. PACKAGING.
