13、Sa (2). Stannous chloride solut+n.-Prepare this solution to contain 227 gm. of stannous chloride and 190 ml. hydrochloric acid (sp. gr. = 1.2) diruted to 1 liter. Fbb. Total iron.-Weigh approximately 0.2000 gm. of sample into a porcelain crucible of at least 50-ml. capacity and maintain at a dull re

14、d heat for at least 1 hour. Cool, add 6 ml. concentrated hydrochloric acid, cover with a watch glass and place on a steam bath. As the yellow coIor of ferric chloride forms decolorize -by adding stannous chloride slution (see par. F-6.atZ) $ro wise. Continue the addition of stannous chloride solutio

15、n until a% the material has dissolved and the solution is colorless. Add, all at once, 25 ml. of a saturated solution of mercuric chloride and allow to stand for 6 minutes covered with the watch glass. Wash into a casserole containing 26 ml. manganous sulfaee solution (see par. F-Sa(1) and 860 ml. o

17、lace the air from the flask with a continuous stream of carbon dioxide, and add 10 ml. concentrated hydrochloric acid. Digest on a steam bath until dry,. then add 26 ml. of boiling.water. Agitate until com- plete solution is obtained. Then discontinue the flow of carbon dioxide, wash into a casserol

20、card the first 20 ml. Measure 100 mi. of the filtrate into a tared dish, evaporate to dryness on the steam bath, heat for 1 hour at 106“ to 110“ C., cool in a desiccator and weigh. 25、quirements of the Navy Shipment Marking Handbook. R. NOTEIS H-l. Use.-Material covered by this specification is intended for use as a component of protective ointment. H-2. The standard sample will be furnished by the procuring agency. H-3. Requests, requisitions, schedules, and contracts or orders

26、should specify the title, number, and date of the specification. H-4. A batch is defined as that quantity of material which has been subjected to some unit chemical or physical mixing process intended to make the final product substantially uniform. H-6. If the contractor consistently produces highq

27、uality ma- terial and operates under a system of quality control acceptable to the Government, the Government, at its discretion and with the concurrence of the contractor, may modify, in whole or in part, the sampling and testing procedures specified in this specification. However, the Government r

28、eserves the right to return at any time without previous notice to the contractor, to the sampling and testing procedures prescribed in this specification. II-6.
