Testing is described in the First article and Quali
5、ty Conformance Inspection tables. 4.4.4 Inspection equipment. The inspection equipment required to perform the inspections and tests prescribed in this specification is identified in the “Paragraph Reference/Inspection Method“ column in the tables starting with 4.4.2.1, and the test method paragraph
6、 (see 4.5). The contractor shall submit for approval inspection equipment designs in accordance with the terms of the contract. See Section 6 of MIL-A-48078 and 6.3 herein. 4.5 Methods of inspection. 4.5.1 Free fall droE. After temperature conditioning for four (4) hours minimum, six (6) container a
7、ssemblies, two (2) each at the temperatures specified in 3.3, with five (5) inert mines installed in each, shall be dropped freely from the specified height on the top (closure end), one side, 450 to one corner of the top, 450 diagonally to the opposite corner of the base and on the bottom (a total
8、of five drops for each container assembly). The simulated mines shall measure 4.75 - .O25 in. diameter by 2.60 - .O25 in. high (right circular cylinder), and weigh 4 +1/4 pounds. Observation shall be made for compliance with the-requirement. 5. PACKAGING 5.1 Preservation and packaging 5.1.1 Commerci
9、al. Unless otherwise specified by the procuring activity, the preservation -and packaging shall be in accordance with ASTM-D-3951 except that the- unit package must contain eight (8) fiberboard container assemblies. 5.2 - Packing and marking. 5.2.1 Commercial. Unless otherwise specified by the procu
10、ring activity, all packing and marking shall be in accordance with ASTM-D-3951. 5.3 Shipping. When containers from more than one lot are shipped as a carload, each lot shall be kept separate and the division between lot clearly indicated to prevent mixing of the lots in transit. 6.
