The cooler-Dewar group is a component of the AN/ASQ- 170 TADS and the AN/AAQ-11 PNVS. The group consists of a 180 element infr

Unless otherwise specified herein, the cooler-Dewar group shall meet specified performance requirements when operated at an ambient temperature at +230C - + 5OC with detector temperature of 80K + 5K, -20K, and detector bias of

Quality conformance inspection of equipment before packaging. 4.5.2 Tests. 4.5.2.1 Group A inspection. Group A inspection shall be conducted on all cooler-Dewar
25、 groups. Group A tests listed in Table III may be performed in any order. Failure of any test shall be cause for rejection of that unit. 4.5.2.2 Group B inspection. Not required, 4.5.2.3 Group C inspection. Group C inspection shall be conducted on cooler-Dewar groups selected from units which have p

32、he 4.6.2 Detector microphonics. The cooler-Dewar group shall be mounted to a microphonics test fixture, defined in drawing 5088606, accordance with the mounting requirements defined %n drawing 5008688. All screw/bolt heads shall be torqued in accordance with the requirements specified in drawings 50
33、08608 prior to the test. the duration of the mfcrophontcs test procedure. The detector shall be biased in accordance wfth the requirements of paragraph 3.6.10 of MIL-D-49298(CR). When the detector array reaches an operational temperature between 68 and 80K, the frequency spectral density of each det
34、ector element shall be measured using a noise power spectrum analyzer. electronics/softwase shall be configured and operated to provide a frequency span of O-20,008 Hz, a measurement window (filter) in the Flat Top configuratfon, and a Noise Equivalent Bandwidth of 360 Hz + 10 Hz. A mimimm of 64 sam
35、ples of the frequency spectrum shall be taken andi averaged. The whfte noise reference level of a given detector element shall be determined by averaging the noise on that element from 12,000 to 20,000 Hz with the cooler power applied. Any detector element which fails to meet the requirements of par

An inspection lot is defined as three months l continuous production or 120 units, whichever comes first, of those groups which have successfully passed Group A inspection. 6.3.4 Strapping. Strapping is defined as electrica
42、lly connecting a defective element to a nondefective element. thus formed, exhibiting 100 percent crosstalk, shall be considered as a single defect. The pair of strapped elements 6.3.5 Defective element. A defective element shall be defined as one which has failed the requirements of 3.6.5, 3.6.5.1,
43、 3.6.6, 3.6.7 and 3.6.14 of MIL-D-49298(CR). A defective element may be classified as either hard or soft. A hard defect is an element; which fails the requirements of 3.6.5.1, 3.6.6, 3.6.7 or 3.6.14 of MIL-D-49298(CR) or which has a 500K blackbody specific dectivity less than 6.0 X 109 cm HzhW-1. T
