7、ions. The following document forms a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. Unless otherwise specified, the issues of the documents which are DOD adopted shall be those listed in the issue of the DODISS specified in the solicitation. Unless otherwise speci- fied, the issues of do

8、cuments not listed in the DODISS shall be the issue of the nongovernment documents which is current on the date of the solicitation. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials and components. 3.1.1 Materials. All materials cited on TDPL 15-12

12、270 shall conform to the specifications listed thereon or to the specific characteristics set forth on . the drawings . 3.1.2 Components. All components of the canister shall conform to %he specifications and drawings listed on TDPL 15-12-270. 3.2 Filling and assembly. 3.2.1 Filling. The canister s

13、hall be heated to 150“ + 10F and then filled with approximately 12.75 pounds (lbs) of molten WP at a temperature of 140“ + 10F (60“ + 5.6“C) using a vacuum assisted dry fill method (see 6.6 and 6.7): The molten-WP shall conform to MIL-C-215. WP, it shall be buffered by a suitable alkaline salt to ma

14、intain pH value between 6.5 and 8.0. After filling, the canister shall be closed, cleaned, and tested for leakage (3.4). VP shall be solidified with the canister in a vertical position and filling port down. When water is in contact with the After successful completion of the leakage test the 3.2.2

16、trength. The inertial weld closure shall withstand a dead load axial push-off force of at least l7,OOO lbs when tested in accordance with 4.2.5.2. 3.3 Cleaning. The exterior of the closed canister, the interior of the burster well, and the burster well threads shall be thoroughly cleaned to remove a

17、ll grease, oil, and WP contamination (see 6.7.). 3.4 .Leakage. The closed and cleaned canister shall not leak when tested in accordance with 4.2.5.3. 3.5 Workmanship. The canister shall be free from foreign matter (oil, grease, or viscous material) and damage such as dents, cracks, or deformation) w

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the co

19、n- tract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection req

20、uirements speci- fied herein, unless disapproved by the Government. In addition, the Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specifi- cation where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure supplies and services conform to prescribed requirements. 4.1.1

21、Responsibility for compliance. All items must meet all requirements of sections 3 and 5. The inspection set forth in this specification shall become a part of the contractors overall inpsection system or quality program. The absence of any inspection requirements in the specification shall not relie

22、ve the contractor of the responsibility of assuring that all products or supplies submitted to the Government for acceptance comply with all require- ments of the contract. Sampling in quality conformance does not authorize sub- mission of known defective material, either indicated or actual, nor do

23、es it commit the Government to acceptance of defective material. 4.1.2 Objective evidence. The contractor shall provide objective evidence acceptable to the contracting officer that the requirements of 3.1, 3.2.1, and section 5 for which specific inspection has not been provided in this specifi- cat

24、ion have been satisfied. 4.2 Quality conformance inspection. 4.2.1 Lotting. Each lot shall be identified and controlled in accordance with MIL-STD-1168. one interfix number from one manufacturer, from the same materials and under essentially the same manufacturing conditions. A lot shall consist of

25、like components and subassemblies of 4.2.2 Sampling. 4.2.2.1 For examination. Sampling for examination shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.2.2.2 For nondestructive tests. Sampling for nondestructive tests shall be conducted in accordance with MIL-STD-105. 4.2.2.3 For destructive tes

A sample of the inertially welded closures shall be prepared on each production welder at the beginning of each shift and each hour of production thereafter for inspection. 4.2.3 Inspection procedures. 4.2.3.1 For examination. Sample canisters shall be examined in accordance with classification

Sample canisters shall be examined in accordance with classification of defects and M

28、IL-STD-105. 4.2.3.3 For destructive tests. Sample inertially welded closures shall be tested in accordance with 4.2.5.2. sample fails the Closure weld strength requirement, the canister closures represented by that sample shall be rejected. (See section 6 of MIL-A-48078 and 6.3 herein). 4.2.5 Tests. 4.2.5.1 Filled canister weight. After the canister has been cleaned and dried, it shall be

31、weighed on a scale accurate to within 0.10 lb. 4.2.5.2 Closure weld strength. The sample for the inertially welded closure which has been welded on a production inertial welder and is representative of the canister closures, shall be placed in a contractor design fixture and test set-up (see 4.2.4 a

32、nd 6.2) so that the weld area is in tension (tends to separate the closure plug from the rear plate) and tested to withstand the specified force. The force shall be increased until the plug separates; the separating force shall be recorded (see 6.4). 4.2.5.3 Leakage. Unless otherwise specified, all

Canisters moved from one work station to another within the same installation shall be placed in containers that provide separation b

35、y means of full interlocking partitions. The partition shall be fabricated from corrugated fiberboard, plywood, or lumber. In addition, when multiple layers are deemed necessary, full separation of the layers shall be accomplished using either plywood or corrugated fiberboard sheets which when place

Movement of the canisters shall be consistent with good materials 5.2 Packaging, interplant shipment. The canister assembly shall be packaged to provide adequate protection agains

37、t deterioration and damage resulting from transit from the supply source to the first receiving activity. 5.3 Packing, interplant shipment. The canister assembly, packaged as speci- fied in 5.2 shall be packed to insure carrier acceptance and safe delivery to the first domestic destination. Containe

In conjunction with information furnished in the contract or order, shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129 as ap
