15、ther- 4.2 Quality conformance inspection. 4.2.1 Lotting. A lot shall consist of the dye produced by one manufac- turer, at one plant, from the same materials, and under essentially the same manufacturing conditions provided the operation is continuous. In the event the process is a batch operation,

Sampling for examination of preparation for delivery shall be conduct
17、ed in accordance with MIL-STD-105, inspection level S-4, using an AQL of 2.5 percent defective e 4.2.2.2 For test. Sampling for test shall be conducted in accordance with table IV. A representative specimen of approximately 50 grams (8) shall be removed from each sample container and placed in a sui

19、tion procedure. 4.2.3.1 For examination of preparation for delivery. The sample unit shall be one filled container, ready for shipment. the preparation for delivery thereof shall be examined for the following defects using an A& of 2.5 percent defective: Sample containers and (a) (b) Container not a

Weigh to the nearest 0.1 milligram (mg) approximately O. 30 g of specimen into a 250-milliliter (mi) volumetric flask. magnetic stirrer, if required. Remov
23、e the stirring bar, dilute to the volume mark with dimethyl formamide, and shake thoroughly to mix. 10 ml of the solution into a 1,000-ml volumetric flask, dilute to the volume mark with 0.5-percent sodium carbonate solution, and mix thoroughly. Using a suitable double-beam recording spectrophotomet
24、er , 10-millimeter silica cells, and 0.5-percent sodium carbonate solution in the reference cell, run an absorbance curve of the solution from 300 to 560 nm. zero line in the same range using 0.5-percent sodium carbonate solution in both cells. absorptivity as follows : Add 150 ml of dimethyl formam

26、ter. Determine the percent by weight volatile matter in accordance with method 4071 of Fed. Test Method Std. No. i41 except use a drying temperature of 115O 5 5 C for 1 hour. 4.2.4.3 Particle size. Weigh to the nearest 0.1 g approximately 10 g of the specimen and make into a slurry with approximatel
27、y 100 mi of water. Place the slurry on a tared No. 100 sieve conforming to RR-S-366. brush the slurry across the sieve with a soft brush for about 3 minutes adding more water. for 1 hour, cool to room temperature, and weigh to the nearest 0.1 g. Calculate the percent by weight dye retained on the si
28、eve as follows: Gently Dry the specimen retained on the sieve at 115 5 5O C Percent dye retained = - 100A B where: A = Weight of specimen retained on sieve in grams and B = Weight of original specimen in grams. 4.2.4.4 Dye content of paper. (a) Standard solution. Prepare a standard solution of the d

A method of making paper hand sheets containing dye is described in “Production Engineering Study for M8 Paper Dyes ,“ Report No. 11,
43、August , 1969, available from Edgewood Arsenal . However, the Government makes no warranty that paper made in this manner will meet the requirements of this specification. 6.6 Supersession data.
