The disks shall be in accordance with TA13200E7430 and as specified herein. 3.1.1 Drawinas. The drawings forming a part of this specification are end product drawin
22、gs. No deviation from the prescribed dimensions or tolerances is permissible without prior approval of the contracting officer. tolerances could cumulatively result in incorrect fits, the contractor shall provide tolerances within those prescribed on the drawings to insure correct fit, assembly, and
23、 operation of the disks. Any data (e.g. shop drawings, layouts, flow sheets, processing procedures, etc.) prepared by the contractor or obtained from a vendor to support fabrication and manufacture of the production item shall be made available, upon request, for inspection by the contracting office
24、r or his designated representative. Where 3.2 First article. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to firmt article inepection (see 6.3) in accordance with 4.3. 3.3 Materials. Materiale shall be as specified herein and on the drawings. Materials not specified shall be sel

The disks shal
26、l be fabricated from compatible materials, inherently corrosion resistant or treated to provide protection against the various forms of corrosion and deterioration that may be encountered in any of the applicable operation and storage environment to which the disks may be exposed. 3.3.2 Identificati
27、on of material and finishes. The contractor ahall identify the specific material, material finish or treatment for use with components and subcomponents, and shall make information available, upon request, to the contracting officer or deaignated representative. 3.3.3 Recovered materials. For the pu
28、rpose of this requirement, recovered materials are those materials which have been collected from solid waste and reprocessed to become a source of raw materials, as distinguished from virgin raw materials. The components, pieces and parts incorporated in the disks may be newly fabricated from recov
29、ered materials to the maximum extent practicable, provided the disks produced meets all other requirements of this specification. Used, rebuilt or remanufactured components, pieces and parts shall not be incorporated in the disks. 3.3.4 Circular inserts. Inserts identifying the value of glass standa
30、rds shall be plastic material, black printing on white or tan background. 3.4 Construction. 3.4.1 Circular inserts. The identifying circular inserts shall conform to figure 1, item B. Inserts identifying the value of the glass color standards shall be permanently fastened at a location 140 degrees c
31、ounterclockwise from the glass color standards. 3.4.2 Glass color standards and filters. The glass color standards shall conform to figure 1, item A. The glase filtere, when required, shall conform to figure 1, item C, and shall be located in the center of the disk. Glass color standards and filters
32、 shall be free of cracks, scratches, bubbles, blisters, inclusions, nonuniformity of color, and other defects that will adversely affect their use. When tested as specified in 4.5.2.5, glase color standards shall withstand without damage the thermal shock incurred when removed from solid carbon diox
33、ide (dry ice) and immediately immersed in boiling water. 3.5 Performance. 3.5.1 Characteristics and accuracy. 3.5.1.1 Tvise I (pH) disk. The CharaCteri8tiCS and accuracy of type I disks shall conform to table I, and, unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), shall be standardized for use with the indica
34、tor solutions specified, using viewing tubes having a 26 millimeters (mm) viewing depth. Unless otherwise specified (see 6.2), the disks shall be standardized for une with acid orthotolidine indicator solution using viewing tubes having a 26 mm viewing depth. The class 4 and 5 disks shall match the master color standard disk (see 3.8).
