REQUJIREMENTS 3.2 Material,- All materials used in the manufacture and assem5ly of tho flame thrower shall eqnforn to the spec
5、ifications and drawings forming a part of this specification, 3.2 Manufacture and assembly,- The flame thrower shall be manufactured Surface roughness, waviness, and lay specified and assembled as specified on the subsidiary drawings listed on Drawings 681-1-3009 and C8l.-l-3?%. by symbols on detail
6、 drawings shall comply with the applicable classes specified in Standard MUISTD-10, yards measured from the end of the nooitle to the center of ground deposit when tested as specified in 4,rCe 3,3 Range,- The flame thrower shall project a flame for a distance of 95 3.4 Workmanship.- All work shall b
7、e done in a neat and workmanlike manner. 4, 4.1 Lot.- A lot shall consist of the flame throwers produced by one manu- facturer, from the same materials, and under essentially the same inanufactur- ing conditions. The inspection lot for nondestructive inspection, within the above limitations, shall b
8、e designated by the inspector. SAMPLING, INSPECTION, AND TEST PROCEDURES 4*2 Sampling for nondestructive inspection.- Each flame thrower shall be inspected as specified in 4,3 and tested as specified in 4.4 (See 6.2). 4,3 Inspection. 4.3.1 Components.- The inspector shall ascertain that ali material
9、s, com- ponents, or subassemblies of the flame thrower covered by separate drawings, specifications, or standards are in accordance with the applicable drawings, specifications, or standards prior to final acceptance of the flame thrower. 4.3.2 -Flame thrower.- The inspector shall inspect the flame
10、thrower for compliance with this specification. 4.3.3 packaging, packing, and marking of the flame thrower for compliance with section 5, 4.4 Range test.- The flame thrower shall be fired using the 1/2 inch nozzle exbension and a motor fuel conforming with Specification W-M-561 containing 4 percent

PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging and packing, 5.1.1 Containers FH-1 and FH-2,- FH-1 and FH-2 containers shall be packaged and packed for shipment to assernbl
13、y plants as specified on Drawing D81-2-23? which is listed on Drawing C81-1-3009, 5.1.2 Rotor and counterweight.- The rotor and counterweight shall be packaged and packed for shipment to assembly plants as specified on Drawing Del-2-211 which is listed on Drawing C81-1-3009, 5.1.3 Miscellaneous part
14、s.- The miscellaneous parts shall be packaged and packed for shipment to assembly plants as specified on Drawing D81-2-259 which is listed on Drawing CSl-1-3009, !5.1*4 Gun and turret basket.- The gun and turret basket shall be pack- aged and packed for shipment to assembly plants as specified on Dr
15、awing D81-2-195 which is listed on Drawing C81-1-3009, 5.2 Marking,- In addition to any special marking required by the con- tract or order, all shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with Standard MIL-STD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1 Ordering data.- Procurement documents should specify the title, n
16、umber, and date of this specification. 6.2 Sampling and testing,- hken the contractor consistently produces high quality material and operates under a system of quality control acceptable to the Government, the Government, at its discretion, may modify, in whole or in part, the sampling and testing
17、procedures specified herein. Government reserves the right to return at any time, without previous notice to the contractor, to the sampling and testing procedures specified in this specification.
