This specification covers a lightweight flashlight (to be powered by two “AA“ batteries) which will provide red or white light by means of an integral, movable, red filter. 1.2 Classification. In the event of a conflict between the text of this document and the references cited herein,

13、the text of this document takes precedence. Nothing in this document, however, supersedes applicabl laws and regulations unless a specific exemption has been obtained. 3. REQUIREMENIIS 3.1 First article. When specified (see 6.2), a sample shall be subjected to first article inspection (see 6.3) in a

14、ccordance with 4.3. 3.2 Material. The material shall be specified herein. However, when a material is not specified, a material shall be used which will enable the flashlight to conform to the performance requirements of this specification. It is encouraged that recycled material be used 3.2.1 Recyc

15、led material. when practical as long as it meets the requirements of this specificatio 3.3 Components. The flashlight components shall consist of a lamp head battery housing, pocket clip, red filter, lamp, spare lamp, lanyd ri switch. 3.4 Construction. The flashlight shall be so constructed that no

16、parts will work loose in service. strains, jars, vibrations, and other conditions incident to shipping, storage, installation, and service. anodized aluminum and shall be designed to house two size “AA“ batteries and to prevent inserted batteries from damaging the base of the lamp, reflector, or any

Soldering, welding, brazing, painting, and wiring shal be thorough. Parts shall be properly aligned and asse

31、mbly screws and bolts shall be tight. The flashlight shall be thoroughly cleaned, and loose, spattered, or excess solder, metal chips, and other foreign material removed during and after final assembly. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection. Unless otherwise specified in

32、the contract or purchase order, the contractor is responsible for the perfonnance of all inspection requirements (examinations and tests) as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the contractor may use his mm or any other facilities suitable for the perfo

33、r- mance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disapproved by the Government. inspections set forth in this specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to ensure supplies and services conform to prescribed requi 4.1.1 Responsibility for compliance. 35、or acceptance comply with all requirements of the contract. Sampling inspection, as part of manufacturing operations, is an acceptable practice to ascertain conformance to requirements; hawever, this does not authorize sulxnission of knm defective material, either indicated or actual, nor does it co

36、rnnit the Government to accept defective material.
