APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 The following documents of the issue in effect on date of invitation for bids or request for proposal form

6、REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Materials.- The materi 1 shall be a-fibrillatabl- - gelled acrylic fiber, spun by the wet process, consisting of not less than 85% polyacrylonitrile with methyl methacrylate oopolgmer. The material shall contain no delusterants and shall ctomply with the requirements of all applicab

A similar sample shall also be submitted whenever a change occurs in the manufacturing process, material

11、 used, specification or source of supply, such as to significantly affect prodyct uniformity as determined by the Government. A change in Merge No. resulting from above changes shall necessitate resubmittal of first article samples (see 6.4). 4.2.2 4.2.3 Inspections to be. pepformed- The ma,teriaL.

12、shall :ii+ 0,001 Dry the measure6 smiles for on-ed. Weigh each cell to the nearest 0.001 gram. the weight percent of the four cells. Water content.- Transfer the wet fiber sample from the closed jar to the weighing pan of a suitably calibrated moisture determination balance. Record the weight of the

13、 wet sample to the nearest 0.1 gram, Dry the fiber sample to constant weight using the heat source provided with the balance, Record the dry weight of the sample to the nearest 0.1 gram. Calculate the moisture content of the sample to the nearest 0.5 percent. or deionized water and 2500 + 5 grams (O

14、ven-dry basis) of the fiber to a clean, 5-pound Valley Niagara type heater. Addition to the beater will require approximately one hour to maintain circulation of the mixture. After 1500 grams of the fiber have beenadded, place an 8-pound weight on the bedplate lever arm of the beater. Add a 3-pound

15、weight after addition of 2500 grams of fiber. Gradually add an additional 700 f 5 grams (oven-dry basis) of the fiber to the beater. If required to assure circulation, an aditional ten liters of distilled or deionized water may be added. This addition of fiber and wate.r may require as long as 30 mi

16、nutes to charge the entire 700 grams of fiber and still maintain stock circulation in the beater. When beater circulation is stabilized, add an additional 5-pound weight to the bedplate lever arm (total weight is now 16 pounds), Record %he tim as the start of the beating operation, Maintain the stoc

17、k temperature, throughout the beating operation, at less than 100OF. Record the stock temperature and the load on the beater motor at 1/2-hour intervals. Continue beating until the drainage rate specified is attained, as determined in accordance with TAPP1 Method T1002. Record total beating time. Mi

18、crophotographs of the fiber before and after fibrilation should appear as shown in Figures 1A and lB, respectively.
