The outer shell of the hood (cover fabric) shall be knit, aramid, Olive Green 106 cloth conforming to type IV, class 3 of I MIL-C-3735. 3.3.2 Cloth, k
18、nitted, aramid, bi-ply, The bib, the lining (layer next to head), and the center strip insert and side vent insert of the interlining shall be bi-ply aramid, Olive Green 106 cloth conforming to MIL-C-44236. 3.3.3 Cloth, laminated, waterproof, moisture vapor permeable and flame resistant. The interli
19、ning (middle layer) of the hood shall be a natural color and conform to MIL-C-44263. 3.3.4 Elastic cord. The elastic cord for the face opening shall conform to class 2 of MIL-C-43303. The aramid webbing for the pull tab shall conform to type II of MIL-W-43685, except for Test Method 5660, the test specimen shall be exposed for 6 standard fading hours and at the end of each 3 hour exposure period, a new piece of calibration pa
21、per shall be placed ir. the machine. The color shall be Olive Green 106. 3.3.6 Thread, aramid. The aramid thread shall conform to size B of MIL-T-43636. The color shall be Olive Drab S-1, C.A. 66022. 3.3.7 Label. The label shall conform to type VI, class 14 of DDD-L-20. Fastness to laundering requir
22、ements of DDD-L-20 shall apply. The label shall cuntain the following information in capital letters: HOOD, COMBAT VEHICLE CREWMENS (BALACLAVA) WASHING INSTRUCTIONS: LAUNDER IN ACCORDANCE WITH NATICK FORMULA I. DO NOT TUMBLE DRY OR WRING/TWIST. HAND WASH IN WARM WATER USING MILD DETERGENT, RINSE IN
23、CLEAR WARM WATER AND HANG TO DRIP DRY AT ROOM TEMPERATURE. DO NOT DRY CLEAN. The contractor shall insert the Date of Manufacture with indelible ink, 3.4 Design. The hood shall be the pull-over-the-head type with attached bib. The hood shall have a facial opening which may be adjusted by means of a p

If there are any inconsistencies between the written Specification and the figure, the written specification shall control. 3.6 Patterns, Standard patterns, which provide an allowance for all seams, will be furnished by the Government and

30、d stitching. All stitches, seams, and stitching shall conform to FED-STD-751. The type of seam, stitching, and stitches per inch shall be as specified in table I. seams sewn so that no raw edges, run-Offs, twists, pleats, puckers, or open seams occur. All seams shall start and end evenly. Thread ten
31、sion shall be maintained so that there is no tight or loose stitching. Seam allowances shall be maintained with 3.7.1.1 Type 301 stitching. Ends of all stitching shall be backstitched or overstitched 1/2 inch minimum except when caught in other stitching or turned under in a hem, Thread tension shal
